Sunderland are trying to cash in on teenage hotshot Josh Maja.

Thirteen goal strike starlet Maja, 19, the top scoring teenager in England’s top four divisions, is out of contract at the end of the season and the Black Cats have yet to reach an agreement on a new deal

And, fearing they won’t, Sunderland have now offered Maja to English clubs for just £1.5million knowing he can sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club from January 1 and they would then only receive a small fee in accordance with FIFA’s compensation rules

PITCH REJECTION: Rohr Faces SACK
Eagles tactician told to face coaching

The days of Super Eagles’ head coach on the Nigerian job are numbered if he continues to meddle into the team’s logisitics, especially the venues where the country’s matches will be played.

Sportinglife.ng gathered from those who were pesent when the hierarchy of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was told that Rohr rejected the choice of the late Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba as the venue for the Eagles’ next two matches – the games against Seychelles on March 22 and against Egypt on March 26 next year.

In fact the NFF chiefs vowed to call for a termination of his contract with the country, if the manager sticks to his guns in rejecting the stadium in Asaba, insisting that: ”Nowhere in Rohr’s contract is it written that he should dictate where the Eagles should play or not. It is the perogative of the NFF to organise matches for the team for blending and where such matches should be played. He face his duty of producing a good team for us.”

”The decision to play both games inside the new Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba is final. It is irrevocable since the Delta State government has promised to host the boys and make Deltans happy again, having experienced the Eagles in previous matches played in Asaba,” one of the NFF chieftains revealed.

On Thursday afternoon, The Egyptian Football Association announced that it will take part in a friendly match against Nigeria’s Super Eagles next March following their final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier.

As announced in a statement by the FA, the Pharaohs take on Niger away from home in the period between 22-24 March 2019. Following the match, Egypt will travel to Nigeria to prepare for a friendly on the 26th.

The last time Egypt faced Nigeria away from home was in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier. The Pharaohs managed to secure a last-gasp draw following a Mohamed Salah strike to go on and beat Nigeria 1-0 in Alexandria and qualify to the AFCON for the first time since 2010.

You must consider context and not isolate my comments to misrepresent.

The context is football contract and the reference is too the type of contracts the club has that have lingered on after Sunderland left the EPL. Admittedly they still got the parachute funding so they are still financially viable.

So your comments are totally IRRELEVANT taken in context.

Chris Sutton labels Rangers loanee Ovie Ejaria a disgrace
Jordan Harris @JordanHarris811

Glasgow Rangers summer signing Ovie Ejaria left Ibrox just a few months into his loan spell at Ibrox.

Graeme Shinnie of Aberdeen vies with Ovie Ejaria of Rangers during the Scottish Ladbrokes Premiership match between Rangers and Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium on December 5, 2018 in Glasgow,...

Chris Sutton has told BT Sport that he thinks that Ovie Ejaria is a bit of a disgrace following his decision to end his loan spell at Rangers prematurely this month.

Ejaria took many by surprise by heading back to his parent club just a few months into a season-long loan with the Gers. The Daily Record reported at the time that the physicality was a key reason behind his desire to leave Ibrox.

The youngster was a regular fixture in Steven Gerrard's side during his time with the Light Blues. And Sutton insisted that the midfielder has made a terrible mistake and let the Rangers boss down by returning to Liverpool already.

"I think he's a bit of a disgrace to be honest," he told BT Sport. "He didn't seem to have the stomach for it. He's come up here to get football. Steven Gerrard has given him football. I think he's let Steven Gerrard down.

Ovie Ejaria of Rangers controls the ball during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Motherwell at Ibrox Stadium on November 11, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

"What's he going to do? Go back in the under-21s? He was at a big club playing regular football, getting an opportunity, under pressure, everything you want as a young player and I just don't get it."

If the reports are accurate, then it is certainly extremely disappointing that Ejaria decided that Scottish football was not for him. Unfortunately for the 21-year-old, he looks to have a mountain to climb if he wants to get into the Liverpool side anytime soon, so leaving Rangers appears to be a bad move.

9th December 2018, Dens Park, Dundee, Scotland; Ladbrokes Premiership football, Dundee versus Rangers; Rangers manager Steven Gerrard arrives for the game

He struggled to impress at Sunderland last season and was seemingly doing a decent job of proving himself with the Gers. Although he was not a player that making the kind of waves that fellow loanee Ryan Kent has made at times, Gerrard's faith in him throughout his spell did tell a story.

But Rangers now go into January looking to replace the youngster when the window opens. And Ejaria will be hoping that he can get his career back on track elsewhere and prove that he made the right decision. Sutton is clearly yet to be convinced.

maybe this over pampering is entering rohrs head. Who da fvck is he to reject match venues selected by the nff?
That asaba stadium isn't that bad after all, having seen it in the last friendly.
Rohr is breaching his contract and if he is sanctioned, it's his making.
