Am a Christian and a logical thinker as well and am quite aware the things of the spirit cannot be explained or understood carnally.

The ten commandment no doubt was and is for peaceful co existence among the Israelite as a lawless society brings about negative vices but how does it concerns Nigeria who are not Israelite.

God said HE brought them out of the land of Egypt and commanded them not to serve any other God except Him, how does the law apply to us since we were never enslave by the Egyptian.

And on the death of Christ I thought he died for his people in the middle east alone to atone for their sins, something many Africans community leaders according to history have done as well when they willingly offered themselves to be sacrifice to certain gods so the community can know peace or to avert epidemic they might be facing at the time.

Why is Christ death believed to be for the atonement of entire mankind and not the Israelite alone?

Please bible scholar in the house should help me out with bible verses I want to learn.

Op there is no historical evidence that the Israelis were ever slaves under Egypt. The whole story is a lie

Do your research since you are logical then start a new thread

God's law is the same all over the world.. The Jewish scribe chose to write theirs in form of stories does not mean it is superior to the igbo Omenani or yoruba IFa....
The jesus story is just roman fabrication and has nothing to do with God...

Lol. The bible is not a credible source of information. Do a google search. I don't know how to teach an adult how to authenticate a source of information but usually it is by doing extensive researches to see if the claims made are agreed upon based on research and the scientific method

This is better. Things of the spirit are foolishness to a carnal man. I agree with you on this.

nigeriagospel:

The ten commandment no doubt was and is for peaceful co existence among the Israelite as a lawless society brings about negative vices but how does it concerns Nigeria who are not Israelite.

The ten commandments is for Israel to secure their relationship with God and to ensure good social responsibility.

These laws are, by extension, meant for the children of God.

If these laws are obeyed there won't be trouble in the world.

1. If we obey the law; Thou shall not steal. There won't be poverty and suffering in the land...

Billions are in the private account of some people....and children are dying of hunger...

People even steal pensioners money and these old men, having used their strength in service, die in the struggle to get what belongs to them.

Mankind will always disobey God's laws.

...and Mankind will always face the consequences.

2. You can draw the consequences that arise as a result of disobeying the other laws which are;

Thou shall not kill, thou shall not commit adultery, thou shall not covert anything that belongs to your neighbors and lastly, honour your parents that your days may be long.

nigeriagospel:

God said HE brought them out of the land of Egypt and commanded them not to serve any other God except Him, how does the law apply to us since we were never enslave by the Egyptian.

God is the God and creator of the universe.

He alone deserves to be worshipped and served.

Any other god that showed up after the heavens and the Earth have been created is no god.

Note, there is no sitting on the fence as far as worship is concerned.

You either serve God or the devil.

You serve God willingly....while the devil takes your worship without your consent...deceitfully.

You think you don't need God... The devil is incharge of your heart...he makes you think that... you worship him with this believe since you do his bidding.

There is no sitting on the fence.

nigeriagospel:

Mankind inherited sin from Adam..

Even though I have never seen Adam before, I and everyone else became a sinner as a result of his sin.

The spirit of man was disconnected from God and God made a remedy for sin.. For the children of Israel.

He did that through animal sacrifice.

The animal takes the place of the sinner in punishment...and the blood of the animal atones for the sin committed.

Through Jesus, God almighty was introduced to the rest of the world...

So that the entire human race will come back to God,

God promised a universal and singular sacrifice for the sins of mankind.... for anyone who believes...

The sacrifice will be done once instead of the yearly sacrifice done with the animal. It is better than the sacrifice of animals everyday as man commits sin.

Therefore,
Jesus Christ came to the world so that through him, man can be liberated from sin.

The blood cleans as many as believe of their sins...

It enables them to become pure... So that the Holy Spirit can dwell in such a believer.

The Holy Spirit then take over the life of the child of God and ensures that holiness becomes easier...obeying God's laws then become easier.

Righteousness becomes easier for a child of God...

Remember this;

A child of God owes his life of holiness and righteousness to Jesus's sacrifice on the cross.

This was not possible with the law... Without the blood of Jesus...

Therefore, there is no righteousness without Jesus.

Your sin remain if you don't believe in his sacrifice.

...and with a single sin, you cannot appear before God after death.

You are then condemned eternally.

You only quoted a text and "cleaned it by yourself "

The original text that cannot be "cleaned " is there...

...and you can't do anything about it.

*smiles *

Peace.

Egyptians and Israelites don't account for the slave Hoax in their historical texts. Aside religious beliefs, it never happened.

Lot of stories in the Bible are fairy tales.

Yeah, the bible is a fairy to you.....

To me, I read, study and live it everyday.

Things of God are fairy tales to carnality.

By the spirit of God, his children have their minds enlightened..

This thread is full of unbelievers. I don't even know who to address now.
@OP look, what you should be worrying about now is how to be free. having knowledge about whether the isrealite did this it that has nothing to do with you. seek for righteousness and you shall find it.
Re: How Does The Death Of Christ And The Ten Commandment Concerns Nigeria by Mikefrik(m): 4:34pm On Dec 29, 2018
Was it only the isrealites that needed salvation? don't you need it? Jesus Christ came to redeem the whole world
but when he came to the isrealites his people, they did not accept him. But they rather put him to death. So he said in John 3:16. that God gave his only Sin, that whoever believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus Christ was prophesied by the prophets as the Messiah of the world. John described him as the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world.

1. That is the first lie Christianity and many other religions feed you to get you to abandon your ability to logically reason everything out as you ought always to. undecided

2. The God of Israel, and Jesus Christ of course, never changed their minds regarding Israel being the only people chosen by them both. Religion is to blame for the lie that they did, particularly the religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. undecided

3. There are no Scriptural references for such ideas as they are instead born of the doctrines and traditions of men, and religion, which God of Israel cast as lies against Him and His Truth. undecided
