Here is my testimony!
Applied July 20
Biometrics July 23
Upfront medical
Medical passed sometime November.
Passport Request December 11
Application approved December 25 (Christmas Miracle)
Passport received today!

The only secret to success is GOD. After Admission I was in a rush to submit my application for the fall intake, I was not even on nairaland or any other forum by then. After submission I came to realize the errors I made or I thought I made in my forms. I did not even know people needed SOP or Ielt until I joined nairaland. My application was without these. I got in contact with an Immigration councilor in Canada to assess my application, other than the tuition fee deposit paid, what was left in my dad’s account was not much, the councilor said I was likely to get rejected but I should still have faith. To be honest, my main concern is to begin my bsc degree in computing science. Since the delay was unbearable, I got admission to the Uk and was waiting for the rejection letter so that I can get my tuition deposit and start my degree in the UK. Then again I decided that I will be positive and I believed my application will be approved, after over 5 months wait having faith and praying was all I could do. YOU NEED TO PRAY OOO!!! That is the only good thing I did on my application, I PRAYED.

Long story short, GOD came through for me
Even when I was told I can’t get admission with neco, I applied to only two uni and got admission from both.
Did I mention the only secret to success is GOD!
A lot of times when we are faced with challenges, he does that to draw Us closer to him.
(For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 )
You are next in line for a Miracle!

I claim it bro...congratulations

Long Post Alert!

Hi guys! I’m super excited to make this post. I came across this forum when I was about to submit my application and I have been a silent reader. Sincerely speaking, all the information I gathered from page one of this thread and from individuals’ comments aided me in putting together my application documents.

I’m a graduate of Petroleum Engineering (MSc & BSc). I was offered admission to do an MSc in Mining Engineering programme (Petroleum Geostatistics concentration) at the University of Alberta, beginning January 7, 2019.

Here is my application timeline:

November 22 - Submitted my application (paper route), with upfront medicals.
November 23 - Linked my application to my online account
December 5 - Medical exam passed.
December 6 - Received correspondence letter for biometrics validity (from Nairobi).
December 6 - Eligibility review began
December 21 - Received another correspondence letter for biometrics validity (from Lagos).
December 24 - My application was approved.

Document submitted

Academic Documents:
• Acceptance letter from the University of Alberta.
• Receipts of payment for official transcripts processing, to meet admission offer conditions.
• MSc/BSc academic transcripts and degree certificates
• West African Examination Council (WAEC) certificate

Proof of Financial Support:
• Funding letter from the University of Alberta (indicating CAD1,750/month stipend plus full tuition cover). This was my only proof of financial support.

Other Documents:
• All the required CIC Application forms.
• Police character certificate
• Upfront medical form
• Data page of International passport and page showing travel history.
• NYSC certificate
• Birth certificate
• Certificate of Origin
• Mother and siblings’ birth certificates
• Resume
• Internship completion certificate
• Letter of Introduction from the lecturer I work with (as a Graduate Assistant).
• Letter of Introduction from my HOD/MSc Thesis Supervisor.

Above all, I give all thanks, praise and glory to the Almighty God for His immense grace and favour. For all TRV hopefuls and everyone reading this post, may God speedily grant to you unmerited favour in Jesus Mighty Name…

Happy Holidays!

Are you surprised? It is very possible to get ur Study Visa without submitting any SOP. We have seen several cases on this thread and of course that of HotTemple is another proof. SOP or no SOP, it all boils down to the grace of God. Peace

First of all convert 7 million naora to Canadian dollars
Then check your tuition fees plus 10000 CAD living expenses
Sum it together
If the figure is still within the range then it okay to proof that As a source of fund for your study
But it won't be a bad thing if you can have more than that so that the VO will be totally convinced that you have the capability to finance your study

You need 15million and above aleast in your bank or sponsors bank account

Please don't come and scare people here ooo according to Cic all u need is ur living expenses ( CAD10000) for a year
Plus your tuition fee for the first year that's all that is needed. If u have more its not bad but consider someone who does not have that much
You need 15million naira aleast in your bank or sponsors bank account

Hi, I don't know what you mean by 'putting you through', so I can't really help with that as i'm relatively new to the application process myself but I can help with the ones I know.
About your mum's properties, if it's possible for them to be valued, get their official monetary values. Also get documents for the properties, ones that show them in your mother's name. Scan them and use for the application. Use them under financial support documents.

Thanks a lot
