As it stands, Matic Pogba Herrera trio can't be replaced in that team. I'm even scared to think of what an injury to just one of them might do
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Lana1(m): 11:03pm On Jan 02, 2019
Even at 0-0 confidence was still there that we'll get something out of the game.

Confidence we always seemed to last under Mourinho

We thank God for the cleansheet. That was the biggest surprise.

Smalling and Lindelof have to be our 1st choice defenders for now. Jones is guaranteed an oafish moment every single game.
And Bailly is Bailly.

Midfield should be Herrera,Matic and Pogba for now.

Sanchez still looked very wasteful and washed up even though he setup the 2nd goal.

I'm pretty happy with any front 3 pairing to be honest but I dont think Mata should start big games for us.

Please, Valencia must leave the club this summer. He needs to retire. He shouldn't even join another club.

That's why all three must be rested this Saturday with Rashford, Lindelof and DDG. Let 2nd team have that one

We are closing gap on top 4...... Slowly but surely we will get there.

Mata's Contract shouldn't be renewed, he needs to retire and concentrate on blogging.... His new calling.

Valencia's Contract shouldn't be renewed and as well terminated. He offered nothing positive throughout the Match. in fact i will prefer we keep Darmian instead of him. Young seems he's our best RB at the moment. He deserves a new Contract Extension.

Lukaku should be our OGS. His first Touch can't EVER be redeemed. He should be introduced when the opposing Sides are tired and couldn't track or run after the Ball anymore.

I hope to see the trio of Sanchez, Martial and Rashford in our EPL Match. Also, Matic deserves a Rest, hence I expect OGS to start Perreira in the next Match.

All in all..... 2 Goals added, 4 Wins in 4 Matches, OGS deserves a look in!

I’m so happy with the clean sheet.

I miss Young today tbh, Valencia is so done.

Lindelof is our best CB currently.

OGS need to rest these guys against Reading, let’s give other players chance.

I am giving Victor Lindelof the MoTM. He's composed, diligent and calculative.

I've said it before, Newcastle would be hard to beat no wonder the passes were a little bit loose. Nice game though. Thumbs up to the lad. We're getting there sooner than we could imagine.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eph12(m): 11:15pm On Jan 02, 2019
Hopefully, one of these days, we'll get to see our fb high behind enemy lines, pulling crosses into the box or playing one two with wingers. For now, nothing special with what they're doing. Probably not fit enough to rub the length of that field or coach asked not to because the defenders and CM left behind are not trusted enough to cut out attack should there be a break
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 11:15pm On Jan 02, 2019
One thing I learnt from this game:

We. Need. To. Attack. From. The. Right. Side. Too!!!

The left side was oversaturated and we weren't making any headway attackwise as Martial hardly runs behind defenders.

Could've easily been a goaless draw if not for the free kick and Lukaku's quick response. The first goal opened up the game. We could've gotten a 3rd too.

We need to attack from the right side too.

I am so impressed with Victor Lindelof's development under the caretaker manager who could be confirmed if he keeps this up and gets into the champions league places.
The whole team is playing very well.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Oasis007(m):
The big Test is coming after the Reading Match. OGS must rest Rashford, Martial, Matic, Pogba, Herrera, Lindelof, Shaw and De Gea against Reading.

Spurs ain't gonna be easy to deal with. Its a Test for both Managers to prove their serves for the Hot-Seat.

To see how useless mourinho was, when Bailey got the red card in the last game we would have seen parking of oil tanker but we kept on pressing.

See OGs still bringing in an attacker with 2goals up and 5mins to go.
Wo...make we just dey thank God say they sacked him early enough. Time to look forward and leave that fraud in the past where he belongs
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 11:21pm On Jan 02, 2019
Valencia obviously has not gotten the memo yet, he thinks it's still Mourinho, his attacking play was zero.
He'll definitely improve as he was one of the victims of Mourinho's ultra defensive approach to games.

Jones is still Jones, always that one nervy moment with him in the starting 11.

Rashford was kind of annoying today, he found himself in good positions but made the wrong decision often, credit to him, he kept going.

Lukaku was hungry and scored a typical poachers goal, Sanchez was rusty but with time, he'll come good.

Biggest credit has to go to Ole not just for his subs but his tactical set up, we managed to limit the crosses from the wings without being overly defensive (Mourinho, take note)...

Unto the next, Spurs it is at Wembley...The first real test but I am optimistic of our chances. Glory Glory Manchester United

Who else saw the Bournemouth-Watford thriller? 4 goals in 6 minutes!
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by codedguy1(m): 11:31pm On Jan 02, 2019
The team prevailed today. I would like to see how the team reacts after going a goal down and also in a game that's remaining just about 10mins and we are down by a goal.

We need a very good CM and CD to really stabilize the team. Some players need rest.

I was actually happy seeing that we wanted to sub and Lukaku and Sanchez were the options which really improves the quality on the bench, unlike seeing is someone like fellaini.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MRTA7: 11:33pm On Jan 02, 2019
Willing to give Sanchez some time to get fully match fit but he certainly looks like he's lost a bit of pace and he hasn't realised he needs to adjust his game. The best of his football was over reliant on his pace.

Valencia is DONE. The guy is 33 and has lost the extra bit of acceleration that made him serviceable.
When a player with low technical ability and dependent on speed declines they become useless.

My problem. With the spurs game and even PSG is our defence. We need to spend very big on a CB before the January Window end. We may concede very useless goals im tight game

The question is which CB can we get that is not cup (UCL) tied?
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 11:48pm On Jan 02, 2019
We were up against a team whose strongest attacking side is their left, and not many teams have that strenght in the EPL. Manchester United, Arsenal, City, are like that too.

Valencia is match rusty and it was wise not to go forward. Valencia doesn't need to prove himself going forward, with time his normal attacking play will return. Today he did well defensively.

In the beginning of the season, many argued that Young is useless both defensively and forward play.

Marcus Rojo is still a United Player though. Hopefully he might be the missing Puzzle, perfect Combo with Lindelof.

I am not saying he should be renewed, na small respect I want make we show am as captain.
If Dalot is not available, let's see him against Reading.

I repeat, nothing wrong with Valencia. He is just back from injury and needs two or three games to get back.

A day will come, we will look for him just as we looked for Young today. It is normal. He who plays more gets fitter and uses the ball better.

Moreover, it might even be a game plan to get him stay back. He did his primary duty well.

The day he will come, they will want him to perform like he has been fit for ages.

If Lindelof gets injured for half a season, he might not be able to trap ball on his return. People don't understand.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 12:13am On Jan 03, 2019
Why do we want to be storing up on geriatric full backs? This is an issue that Pep addressed sharperly when he got to Man City.

We should offload Valencia at the end of this season and either allow the younger ones we have develop into the role or buy another RB. Young can stay for one more season.

We can't go into next season depending on 34yr old full backs abeg.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Botfuss: 12:15am On Jan 03, 2019
The first thing that made me happy was;for the first time in a long time,a team used five defenders against us. Shows fear.

Lukaku looks sharp. Martial hasn’t been up to his level last two matches. Shaw also had a fair game.

Good win anyway. Mae we just beat spurs chai
