Good morning justwise and friends. Is Medical laboratory science considered a professional degree to practice in a licensed profession or just bachelor's degree?

For those still struglling with evaluation, which body to use and all

For Evaluation of Degrees - ECA for immigration is what you need
PLEASE READ
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/education-assessed.html

The main idea is to get the right body to correctly evaluate your degree to give a Canadian Educational Equivalence.

Apart from Doctors (MCC Pharmacist (PEBC).

Any of the other Bodies Accepted by CIC
WES, ICES,IQAS, ICAS, CEC can evaluate all other degrees however wisdom is profitable to direct
NB: Only WES evaluates Professional Certifications like ACCA, CIPM, ATS AAT...

ICAN itself is not equivalent to Any Canadian Educational degree for now so don't bother

That being said experience has helped to build knowledge base that not all these bodies evaluate degrees the same way.

Also considering speed and required documentations these are the recommendations.

Lawyers - use IQAS ( they would clearly state your LLB is equivalent to a professional degree which is same as Masters)

Nurses - RN and RPN, RM, and other post basic degree - use IQAS or ICAS to get 2 or more Certificates) IQAS faster

According to CIC you only need to evaluate your highest degree

PhD and MSC and Bsc - Only PHd

If you have BSC and MSC - only MSC

This rule does not apply if PGD is your highest qualification.

If you have Bsc and PGD evaluate both to get 2 or More Certificates.

ND and HND or NCE and HND - evaluate both

For all other degree you can use either of the ICES, WES, ICAS, IQAS or CEC...

If you are evaluating only foreign degrees - WES is your go to body.

Once a Nigerian degree is involved WAEC is a must (WAEC processes is pretty simple so nothing to worry about ensure to send a new scratch card)

ICES is fastest for now 4-6 - they don't need WAEC, your school can send transcript to them by official email and they don't reverify with your school like WES.

ICES evaluates each degree at $200 CAD unlike WES nonetheless I recommend them even if you have 2 degrees to evaluate (cheaper on the long run I tell you)

NB: ICES do not send soft copy ECA - so i advice you use a US, UK or Canada address for delivery and get it scanned to you. NIPOSt are trying but docs still get missing in transit - or request for courier delivery

This is what I meant;
CLB - L-8.5, R-8.0, S-7.5, W-6.0 + 1yr experience.
I was ineligible to submit a profile. I wanted to be in the pool pending when I get my EOR/re-write but I could not.

Increase the amount you stated that you "have" from CAD 12000+ to Cad 13,000 (if you're a single applicant)

Hello all.

I have been an unregistered reader for long now. Finally I have made up my mind to immigrate to Canada. I just got married last August. No child yet, based in UAE.

My wife holds an NCE and has been teaching in an elementary school for the last 2 years, she's about starting her degree.

F, hopefully before December I may get up to that God's wiling.

Thanks in anticipation.

Congrats, we thank God.

I want to ask did VFS charge you anything to submit and send your passport to the Visa Office Ghana? And if so how much. Contemplating sending mine (family of 4) when the time comes via return express courier. Or if anyone can answer please do.

I paid #71,710 for family of 4
The payment is for VFS to send your passport to Ghana and bring It back to their office when it is ready.
If you are in Lagos, you simply go to their office where you submitted and pick up, no need for courier. (That's is my case)

Thanks, but it has nothing to do with POF. When I imputed 2yrs I became eligible.

Thanks to both of you for your kind feedback.

Now, i received my reference letter from the bank and noticed that for the average 6 months balance, what was specified was account balance as at day letter was issued.

Although i made it very clear that what i wanted was 6 months average balance and relationship manager was like, that's hard work for them to achieve since their system does not keep that information.

Well, i hope this is fine?

joo2018:
Only the Reference letter + latest FD certificate.
If you are planning on adding the older certificates to prove that it has been your money all along, then it might be best to also add a LOE to avoid confusing the case agent.

With the FD, I believe you are good to go. If you like, you can also get a letter of non-idebtedness. If not, you should still be ok.

Good Morning Fam,

A quick one, please.

My coy paid a special performance bonus last month. This is quite a lump sum and has made a huge impact on the account I am using for POF. Do I need to add a LOE for this?

Thanks in advance.
