Because they don't go through alixpress shipping as they have their own shippers.
But they still pass through custom officers at d port now when they land in Nigeria.

Seriously, we need to readdress the banning of adverts on this thread as I'm sure most ain't comfortable with this development.
Pls let's run d poll again.

Those in support of rerunning d poll should like

Those in support of permanent banning of adverts should share

What's all this? Who and who aren't comfortable?

The other thread is a good place for them to advertise their items multiple times in a day and the thread has been driving in people.

This topic has been addressed and everyone have moved on.

7. Don't post adverts or affiliate links outside the areas where adverts are explicitly allowed.

1. Please post all threads in the right section, and don't derail threads by posting off topic.

People calling for the return of ads should please open thread(s) to ask Seun to make changes to Nairaland rules.

These items via aliexpress shipping, do they come via water ways or by airline because it usually shows airlines on the tracking sites.
I can't understand how an item would leave via airline from Singapore 24 days ago and has still not reached Nigeria.
Are they using d airline catch to bobo us

No customs don't delay even if they will attach fee
This is how customs duties come by
Many items shipped in would be received in bulk. The custom officers randomly open some of the items. The unfortunate randomly opened items that are chargeable (expensive ones) are charged with custom fees.
So it's about luck, it's d few that they open that they charge.
What attracts custom to opening some parcels also is suspected undercosting. Some sellers reduce the cost of their items when writing it on d parcels.
I got d above information from a post office staff.

Yes you'll get update. Just buy unsealed one.

What's your budget?

At least it shouldn't take months
My phone left country of origin about 4 weeks ago.
What is even confusing is that they claim these items are transported by air.

It's like this is your first time of ordering a phone on alixpress, patience is required. We used to have 11-12 delivery as far as 3yrs ago and some few times last year but it can't be like that always. Festive period has led to the slow shipping.

My advice, don't even bother to track your item every 5 mins , relax and chill. No need getting yourself worked up over what you can't control.
