how are tou sendimg your waec please... i am so frustrated... they arent askimg for school results...but uni transcripts... i feel so frustrated right now

You have to go to WAEC office to have your WAEC result sent to them,if you in Lagos,go to their office at yaba.

Send your statement of result by yourself via FAX(to save cost grin ),ensure you attach WES reference number,it will be acknowledged in not more than 2 days

Use either postmail or courier to get your WAEC scratch card to WES

You are really funny. Tell your case as it may be. But joke apart, did you really apply to 10 schools?

No. Just two schools till date. Just wondering how would they know.

They don't know. That's the truth. Apply to at least 3 schools. You'll be fine!

Goodluck!

How can I apply for good schools with full scholarship for bachelors and with sat 980 and TOEFL 75 for fall
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by fairheart(m): 9:44am On Jan 10, 2019
980 in SAT? Better write the exam again. For full funding, your SAT score should be from 1270 -1450. Morgan State University Honor's Program requires 1270 in the new SAT with 3.0 and above in GPA to be eligible. More so, University of Southern California, Brandeis University, and other schools will gladly accept you. I hope your GPA is high too.

While i agree that travel history improves ones chances of getting a US visa, i do not think it is a requirement.
I know countless people that get US visa as their first visa on a virgin passport. I am also one of such persons.

Good morning everyone.... As promised, I will be sharing my experience here even though my interview was strange and may not be helpful to a lot of people especially virgin visa applicants....

Good morning

It is cool. Just make sure you go with docs to prove this, and sponsor statement of account.
Goodluck.

Thanks very much. Not my sponsor's but my personal account though. My naira account has more transactions but the DOM is just for savings. Or must the account prove activity like you spending from it regularly?

Good day folks

Does an active citizenship petition filing ruins one's chances of being granted a student VISA ? I meant if I fill it in the DS 160 form ?

I read of a success story of a guy on here at some point. The challenge however is that there is much onus on you to prove more to the VO the authenticity of your intention.

Sorry. Did you fill the DS 160 yourself? The problem could be from there.

You are absolutely right. I am the person, I just did not want any pity comments. Thank you so much for your detailed response, it is really useful. Bless

bracelum:

First of all, accept the fact that the friend in question is you! I'll give you my experience so that you don't feel that you are alone. Others with a similar issue can also read this and note the tips.

I'm emotionally touched to respond to this question because I also have a similar issue and have somehow managed it.

You won't go wrong telling the VO about your speech issues before you start the interview. In fact, this step is recommended by one of the VO's here on nairaland. The benefit of this step is that it reduces your stress level and allows the VO to be patient with you. If you don't trust your fluency or you feel you may have moments of stuttering during your interview, I advise you follow this strategy.

The other strategy, which I used, is to rehearse very very well and know your words for every likely question. This strategy is different from cramming. Know your school, your program, everything about your application and rehearse them very very well. I rehearsed every day for one month before my interview. I drafted likely questions and gave to my nice friend who called me every day at a particular time for 3 rounds of interviews. It took less than 40 minutes each day for the interviews and the feedback. The friend knew my condition and suggested ways I could avoid some words or use synonyms where necessary. Another friend, who also knew about my condition, assisted with several rounds of physical mocks a few days to my interview. To practice my fluency, I volunteered to help other visa applicants with their mocks on the condition that they also give me mock interviews. So, I would do 3 rounds with them and they will do 3 rounds with me. These applicants did not know about my condition and even when I stuttered sometimes, it wasn't pronounced and they didn't notice. I used their interviews to get a feel of how the atmosphere will be when I'm interviewing with a total stranger like a VO. I think I had ~ 12 mocks with those visa applicants.

My strategy may be very hectic, but I did it because I hate being seen as an object of pity. So, if method 2 seems hectic for you, method 1 is totally fine. Just rehearse, relax and tell the VO about your issue. Then, speak without fear because 90% of stuttering is caused by the fear of stuttering, not even the stuttering itself.

Overall, being a stutterer is a very hard thing in our society. Just imagine the shame you'll feel when you have your moments while giving a speech in a packed gathering. Just be strong and keep pushing.

About my interview, I had two stuttering moments but I think the VO didn't notice because I paused, took a deep breath and continued. She may probably be thinking that "E be like say this boy don forget him script grin grin grin".

God bless.

If you were asked this two questions initially it could be the reason why you were denied previously....
You can post your transcripts for your first and second attempt.

Yes, you two can apply at the same time. Many have done this but you may wanna put other things like 'what is she gonna be doing there, how long she is gonna stay, what have you' into consideration. I hope this helps, I have little experience kinda. The ogas will give better responses
