Chanbaby:You will not be able to add a second infant. You need another adult to add your infants ticket to. Hopefully at the airport you are able to see someone you can plead with to help you with this. Or look for someone traveling to Nigeria and pay his or her flight ticket to help you with this. |

I was at the embassy yesterday for my interview 2nd one, had one in December and was denied which I suspected was based on the cheap bills thing they claim though the bills I gave them for hospital I intended to use was about $10k. I went prepared this time with a bill of about $15k and just wen the VO asked my bill, I mentioned it's abt 15k dollars. He looked at me and asked if I had the quotes, I brought out the document . He went through it pointing the hospital bill is $9k and for complications, i told him we are preparing for tje worst scenario considering my past experience. Doctor's fee is 3k and quotes for paed , lab, neonatal was scattered here and there and if added up actually sums up to that. It was quite a long session. He asked for bank statement, I presented hubby statement (sponsor) a statement of 7mil there about. He typed on the system for sometime and then slipped the blue paper to me with inaudible words. I asked why I am being denied, he said he can't really say more. I requested to know if he needed to view more document as we have even made a part payment and I have been scheduled for appointment in February but he declined. I told him that i really don't want to take chances with this pregnancy hence my travel after trying for so long with several failures after my first child who is 6years now. He said he is sorry but i can try another country. Frankly, not a single soul was offered d white slip before I got interviewed ystday. It was like they planned it ahead, students were denied after talking and explaining heaven and Earth, even the elderly, I watched an old woman being denied who was to travel to help her daughter that had a baby and a whole lot of others. Was hopeful that mine will be different especially when I had positive n valid documents to support everything he asked for, even travel experience but At Las, I was still not granted d visa. It's now so late I don't know if I can still get d Canadian visa before I become unfit for travel as I was meant to travel latest 1st week of February as am due first wk of March. Those wit Canadian visa, would u encourage me to still try or just chill and have my baby here. Am so worked up... oteendscount trick by usa embassy in nigeria to refuse visa na new things ..comment?[/quote] |

hello Chanbaby, i think you should be able to buy a seat for your older child even though less than 2years old. i think it's the lap ticket that cannot be attached to 1person being 2 infants. i hope this is correct anyway. Chanbaby: |

Obylo1:. What's your total budget for the trip and where was the interview taken place. Lagos or Abuja. You can still try Canada but I doubt it if you can still meet up |

Obylo1:As long as finances are not the challenge here I will advice you give Canada a try, go the paper route, have an open mind. Some airlines will carry you ALMOST any time as long as your Doc certifies you fit to fly, worry about your Doc.... Meanwhile, be preparing for birthing in Nigeria as a serious back up please. All the best! |

Hello, contrary to the information provided. You can add your 2nd infant to your ticket, you will be required to pay for his seat separately, not lap as you already have one infant already. Please call the airline. baddo: |

Tnx @ Omobendel24. Are u speaking from experience that doing paper application would be faster. Someone said she did online n got her visa in two weeks while I also hear it can take up to a month. Which is faster pls those who have tried before? I am keeping an open mind about it that worse case I have my baby here and travel next time if the visa comes in but late. OmoBendel24: |
| Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by OmoBendel24: 5:56pm On Jan 10, 2019 |
Obylo1:It actually can take as little as 4 days and as much as even 7 months (I’ve seen both situations). Abuja paper route is faster. Work load generally is even reduced for them in their various offices worldwide at the moment it seems but let’s not in any way get carried away, different yardsticks so to speak applies to the different applications. Online route has an hurdle that may be discomforting/delaying, i.e you have to send your passport in to them after the online approval, that journey in itself could take between a week and a month. CAN+ would have been your best option if you had a valid US visa, it’s almost comparable to the US Dropbox system, your application will be expedited and a few protocols jumped.... We can have further discussions on the “Canada Visit” thread sha, just in case. |

Obylo1:Unfortunate about the denial...however, the visa officer suggested you try another country. Good idea. All those other people you saw being denied may also want to apply to other countries too. |

Hmmm!!! So with the way these VO are denying visa up and down, which one do you advise someone to choose when renewing visa now. I chose B1/B2 before of which I declare intention during interview then and I was granted , will you advise to choose B2 only for childbirth now ? Please I need answer and I am sure this would help a lot of people on this thread too Omobendel24, justwise(you don’t kuku answer) but I go still copy you. |

Please, was it this January you sent the Letter of intent to the embassy? Grubsk: |
| Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Beautyaddy: 8:32pm On Jan 10, 2019 |
Akorkor:At least you declared your intention using it for birthing. Some women will not declare that they might end up using the B1/B2 visa for birthing. |
