As the 2019 presidential election draws nearer, Nigerians are eager to know a lot about candidates contesting to lead them for the next four years.

Omoyele Sowore is one of the candidates that's featured prominently in the inquiries Nigerians have been making on the internet.

According to Google Trends data which reflects search interests relating to different topics on a weekly basis, here is a quick rundown of the things Nigerians were searching for about Sowore between January 1 and January 8, 2019:

Who is Omoyele Sowore?

Born February 17, 1971, Omoyele Sowore is a human rights activist, pro-democracy reformer and also the founder of media outlet, Sahara Reporters.

His advocacy spans decades and he has ruffled more than a few feathers with his media outfit based in New York, United States.

Omoyele Sowore's running mate?

Sowore's running mate is public health expert, Rabiu Rufai.

Who is Omoyele Sowore's wife?

Even though Sowore has admitted that he's happily married with children, the identity of his wife is not public knowledge.

Which party is Omoyele Sowore?

Sowore will be flying the flag of the African Action Congress (AAC), a party he founded in 2018 and became its national chairman before he was elected the party's candidate in October 2018 with no challenger.

What is the probability of Omoyele Sowore winning the Nigerian presidential election?

The February 16 election is widely billed to be a keen contest between President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

However, Sowore is confident that 2019 is the year that the stranglehold of the established political class will be broken by Nigerian voters who are fed up of the nation's terrible decades of underachievement.

Nigerians assuredly recognizes the options before us come February 2019, obviously the right choice is an Atiku team[A-Team] at the helm of affairs. Every vote cast for Wazirin Adamawa will be an eloquent repudiation of the A.P.C. government, our votes will mark an epoch as well as monuments for us and generation yet unborn because through the ballot box we will challenge sense of lethargy ,hopelessness, resignations, frustrations and the hypocrisy of an oppressive capricious A.P.C led government . An Atiku Presidency will further defeat the militating factors that impede our journey to a deserved greatness amongst the comity of nations. In deference to President Obama and for our people in the intervening months leading up to the elections, Our votes will proclaim “an end to the petty grievances, lopsided corruption, insurgency, nepotism and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas that for so long have strangled our politics” Alhaji Atiku Abubakar buoyed by the audacity of hope on your imminent emergence as the next civilian President of our beloved country. I make bold to write that your mandate to rule Nigeria come 2019 is a “divine call” merely vested on you in trust and as a caretaker for the masses of Nigeria. It is neither for any emerging cabal nor political mongers even the over patronized elites cannot appropriate undue benefits. It would be in recognition of the “unsung, uncelebrated and anonymous Nigerians. Men and women scattered across the country

lol

SOWORE can not win the election himself.
The people need to vote him in.
But the people are hungry.
SOWORE does not have the money to feed the people.
How can they listen to his ideas?

Say what you want the Buhari/ Osibanjo government is far less corrupt than the Obasanjo Atiku government. Where do I even start? Obasanjo gave away Bakassi without the approval of the house. Atiku with his big MOUTH and lack of diplomatic skill single handedly killed Nigeria's ballistic missile partnership with North Korea.
