Ladies and gentle men in the house, long time! Please I am in dire need of information as regards some documents and they are: 1.Where and how much can I get my certificate(s) translated in German language? 2. how can i get police clearance certificate which must not be older than 3 months at the start of a training? 3. Also, which recognised hospital can i get a medical certificate which must not be older than 3 months at the start of a training in Germany?

1. Not sure, but I think you can do this at the German consulate in Lagos
2. Nigeria police force, you're supposed to be able to start this process online but I'd advice you walk into the police headquarters in the state you reside. It cost me about 7k when I did one and no I didn't bribe
3. Any federal medical centre or general hospital can issue you a medical certificate. You might need to run some basic lab investigations

Please treat with utmost regard.
Thanks

Thank you but after the verification, how long do you think that my marriage date can come out and if I should have the date and go to the embassy, will they deny me from traveling..

Hi I'm not sure. After verification maybe 6-12 months later, depending on the higher court. If the case is at court start preparing the Visa process

You're very luck bro.

I think I like this new system of appointment booking. The embassy will allocate more slots and closer dates I guess.

Not for the interview really. But you might be asked for it once you are told to drop your passport behind.

Are all your documents from Accra Ghana?
If no, do the interview where it will be faster to verify your documents. Else Accra will verify your documents in Lagos Nigeria before continuing with Germany.

It’s best to look for date in Nigeria especially if you had lived and schooled in Nigeria. To speed up processes. You can wait very long if 3 countries are involved.

I do have a place I can call home there ( my cousins have a house right in Kumasi).

But I do understand your point.

Of course TK is okay.

Have your employer gotten the pre-approval already ?

It is important sha. No one wants someone to come to Germany and get sick and not be able to afford healthcare and die.

Yesterday made it exactly 6 weeks since my interview for student visa.

Yet to hear from the embassy. Anybody also waiting for this long?.

I’m heading to cologne.

Mehn Bro you have to really calm down and if you have a job here in Naija hold on to it until the day you get your visa you can just resign.

I am in your situation or should better say was in your situation, I needed to leave in a month but it took me 2 months before I got an appointment (mainly because I didn't know what time to check for appointment) then eventually went for my interview in November and till now I'm yet to get my visa. Once you go for your interview just pray and hope to be lucky as you may get your visa within 2 weeks or longer, so let your employers know it may take longer time.

Hello, wanted to know what kinda questions would be asked for the work permit VISA interview.
Also, I just hope you receive your VISA ASAP.
Am beginning to be sked about the duration for processing the VISA, cos I got interview next week

Hello Temi

Mine was about three years ago,but if not much has changed the lawyer visits the family of the applicant( my siblings were interviewed too). I wasn't allowed to be part of it but they were basically asked background questions themselves, about me such as where and when I was born, schools attended etc.also about your spouse. The Lady that conducted mine was more of an interrogator sha. She also visited one of the witnesses that was present at the court wedding

They actually don't call. They physically visit. In my case they visited two persons from my family, one from my hubby, and one from my job. The verification officer has a form which he gives them to fill. It's basically asking them for the same information you spouse filled on her own application. Name, date of birth, schools you went, HOW did you meet, your wedding date those kind of stuff.

They will also ask for pictures

I got these online but they are similar to the questions they asked me during mine and most of my friends.
a) What are you applying for?
b) Can I see your original Passport?
c) How did you come to know about this opportunity?
d) How was the interview/evaluation done?
e) What is the job about? What will be your designation, role, profile?
f) Are you currently working in Nigeria?
g) So you’ve taken a day off today?
h) Can I see your previous job experience letters?
i) Do you have a copy of your appointment letter?
j) Can I see your latest salary slips?
k) Why do you want to leave your current job and move to Germany?
l) So you’ve already been in Europe?
m) Can I see your old passport?
n) Have you stayed in German before?
o) When is your intended joining date? ---- This is very important and this would determine when your Visa would start
p) What will be your salary there?
q) How long do you intend to stay in Germany?
r) Will your family be accompanying you?
s) Have you already arranged for a house in Germany? Where do you plan to stay?

Visa processing can take up to two - eight weeks.

Make sure all your documents are also complete so Uncle Paulinus won't send you back at the gate. Best of luck

Thanks so much I would show my wife this.

The lawyer is coming to our house this week and they wanted to see both parents and two witnesses for an interview at our place lol.

I just hope my friends (the witnesses) don't go and do oversabi lol as I have informed them to say the truth and the ones that they don't remember they should just not say or write it
