missb216: For the gcms note, kindly go back the thread, u can start from 160 tp this point..i believe som1 posted a link of how to get your gcms note...wen did u apply?... from reasons u pointed out, u have to work on convincing the VO that u are coming to Canada to study, u can go further to explain how your course of study is important to your home country and u do not have reasons to stay back in canada after studies, u can also use properties u intend to inherit to show that you are definitely coming back after studies, finally..u as well, get an affidavit of coming-back or return...stating that u will return after your stay in canada... In my assumption ....refusal on purpose of visit...........means that the VO was not convinced that your purpose of visit is actually to study.......probably, 1.) the choice of discipline is not in line with previous studies or current employment 2.) the choice of discipline is not economically viable in Nigeria.............so after schooling, the PA would not return to naija...because there are no good jobs based on the course studied. 3.)The level of education sought, is below already attained educational level The myth is that, "purpose of visit" can be well tackled with a good SOP, elucidating the economical viability of the proposed course and level of studies....and also defining the need for a career change where this is applicable. How much is the balance on your SOA and your sponsors SOA.. the standard amount needed in your sponsors account should be 10,000cad, after paying the 1st year tuition fees..while yours should be around N5M..if it's less den I guess that's why.. Hope this helps...thats my 2kobo though people might have better opinions 1 Like 1 Share |

Naijaforeigner:You have said it all bro. I always advise people to make sure they have enough cash to cover at least first year tuition and living expenses (at least), cos most people think it is very easy to work as a student(without breaking the law) and still be able to pay tuition fee & living expenses from it. Also, they might even get the job but academic stress won't give them the time to do the job. 4 Likes |

umulobi:You have enough time to apply for your Quebec acceptance cert and also apply for your TRV. Fall is still very far(about 8 months). NB: You don't have to drop your email for people to contact you with the info you seek. |

All you need to do is read the first page and you will see the link of what you seek, but instead you are asking people to email you. Don't come back here screaming that you have been scammed sha. @missb216 |

bikerboy1:Nothing bad if you are sponsoring yourself but I want you to remember that when filling your study permit form, there is a section where you have to input the total amount of your finances ( tuition, 10k, plus miscellaneous fee). 15kcad may not be enough depending on your tuition fee, I will advise you find a co-sponsor. You can be the main sponsor paying your tuition fee, while your co-sponsor provided the miscellaneous fee. 1 Like |

Good afternoon house..... Please on my visa office instruction, there's a upfront medical but it's "if applicable". Should I do the upfront medical or wait for the medical call? |

Please if you have sent me an email, unfortunately I cannot answer your questions as I have a lot of work to do. I come here when I am tired or a little bit free. Canada education is very demanding. If you dont mind, you can ask your questions here and one of the gurus on this forum will respond. When i am free, i would also come in and drop comments. I do apologise. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by makano: 1:44pm On Jan 23, 2019 |
U are not suppose to submit ur Original Waec result. The only Original documents you will be submitting are letters addressed to the embassy. i.e Statement of Account, Letter of Sponsorship e.t.c, all other documents should be photocopy except you don't wanna see ur WAEC result again for life cos the embassy does not return any document to the applicant whether Approved or rejected.. And as for the Passport, you will submit ur real passport since you are going through Paper route, unlike Online application that they will be the one to request for it. Peace Ukaivbemiles: |

Original copy of documents addressed to the embassy (e.g letter of explanation or sop) should be submitted along with photocopies of documents not addressed to the embassy (e.g birth certificate, transcript, certificates etc) Ukaivbemiles: |

Congrats to everyone who's gotten their approval and to others please don't give up yet. Please house I need some clarity. A friend applied for study permit since early last year and hasn't received any response. VO is London and GCMS just arrived. Eligibility is review required and going through the notes, there is no comment on why eligibility is review required. Although Criminality is passed, security is blank. A page of the document is redacted and some pages have 16(1)c 19(1) on them. Please seniors, can you shed some light to possible reasons why this is so. I really appreciate. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Austacus: 4:49pm On Jan 23, 2019 |
042viber12: It simply means eligibility review is ongoing in the application. The moniker doesn’t understand Gcms note cause they are a lot to say in that application plus the VO is hiding some vital information from the applicant. I just don’t have the strength to start explaining now. I noticed people are more concerned about the comment being laid From the VO in Gcms note Trust me, they are more and more to say asides from the VO’s comment especially when they haven't taken the final decision on the application. Every page in the Gcms note has meaning but we tend to ignore and jump only in the VOs comment. |
