Please house is it true that it is only difficult to get a job in Dubai only when you don't use agent? My agent told me that immediately I arrive with three months visa that their agent will get me a job before one month elapse, I told him that I heard that getting a job is 50/50 he said that's for those who did not use agent to search for job.....please I want to know if my agent is right before I give him money to process the visa for me...please I need your urgent response

The kind of job he will get for you ehn, ,
Don't let me say anything
I pray it's not construction job
That is, if at all he would get you a job

if you have been following this thread you will know getting job here is 50:50, unless your agent told you something else. If you’re already regretting, I will advise you to go back ASAP instead of wasting money on house rent, feeding, transportation etc, but if you choose to stay then stop complaining & put more effort to search for job. All the best
Meanwhile you are in Nigeria o. Living in Nigeria and quoting 50:50 up and down for perharps your own personal gains.

Nothing like 50:50 for people who are just arriving UAE. If you arrived Dubai prior 2017 when Nigerians were still easily employable , have held down jobs, yes 50:50 applies to you when you apply for a new job/change of job because u have the UAE experience and verifiable former employers.
For all those 2018 to date job seekers, your chances of getting even the lowest of all petty jobs is 95:5 so prepare yourself and check within you If its worth it.

If you really must go to UAE, stay I Nigeria and keep applying for jobs until you get a company willing to employ and sponsor u . And that's mostly for professionals or people with special skills.

Brother what ur agent Tell u is sort of true, you can get job from agent easily but is rubbish job probably construction, Helper, cleaning etc because this job is mostly high jack by agent. But for you to get a job that is somehow good is difficult bro but truth is some people get. The point is if you are coming believe ur self and God, but truely is not easy here but some people still breakthrough.

Unfortunately I don't know her antecedents. Calling him out just because he said the odds are 50:50 didn't cut it and then confidently beating her chest that he's in Nigeria is overboard without proofs.

I do however understand that it could have been an outburst over what she saw Nigerians passing through and she wouldn't want that for anyone.

Please gentlemen in the house, with a 2 year working visa, how much minimum BTA is advisable to take with me..
2 years working visa? What you should have is 2 months employment visa, Which would be converted to 2 years resident visa when you arrive UAE, meanwhile you don’t need bta for employment visa but those yeye immigration will want to delay you by asking stupid questions, just have like 500usd & some naira for gate passgrin

Dear Nairalanders,
I need your honest advice, my junior colleague in the office is contemplating leaving his job to UAE to seek greener pasture. I have strongly advise him to work for more years to save enough fund and then look in the direction of Canada or other Europe countries. But he's just adamant. His net pay currently is over N152k but I'm suspecting he his being brainwashed heavily. He's a young man of just 27; just that he become a chartered accountant at an early age. I really don't know if he's making an assumption that he will get an accounting or finance role in UAE with his ICAN certificate. I pity for am, when he eye go clear, him go be like person wey one chance juju clear for him eyes. For those in UAE already, what do you guys think or have to say in this regards so that I can show him the response of those already there speaking with experience.

Regards,
Awaiting everyone response.

can't help too for now work and distance can't permit me 2 hours journey and office in dubai

Oga, inasmuch as ur colleague might b making a mistake, ur post made u sound as if u are jealous or envious of him. Just counsel him neutrally against embarking on job hunting in Dubai.

#150k salary is fair not to be abandoned to go and chase shadows.

Nonso, the fact that you have friends in UAE and glean info for and from them does not make you a Dubai resident.

You have not scammed anyone yet so this would be my last post on this for now. You live in Nigeria, as at today. Stop fooling yourself.

Mr goody two shoes. That's how You'd stick your neck in another's business and it will be cut off.

I don't make assumptions. Did u see him deny that he does not live in Nigeria? He knows tbe truth.I don't know his motive for stringing y'all along with the impression that he lives in UAE but he lives in Nigeria. Bank on that . . .

Hi madam Ify, I know you very well from family section and I know that you're not one to pin false allegations on people but NNony is also well known here and many people vouch for him. I'm a bit confused by this allegation against him sha but if found to be false I hope you apologize to him.

NNony you need to prove that you're living in Dubai, it will clear the air once and for all and your reputation will be in tact.

How time flies. I still remember when i was curious coming to this blog to ask about Uar travel. Sometimes its good to tell people the real truth about Uae and stop all the hype. I remember when i was about coming here in 2017 and i was seeking out nonny g and co and they all made it sound rosy. Forwarding to today, even thou i neva got a job with my b.eng certificate buh i was able to get a good job with a decent pay after lots of hussle, disapointmemts and trials.
In conclusion, i wil never advice anyone i know personally to come seeking for a jobs in uae because the chances of getting a job is 90:10. Thou some people like me were lucky to land a job buh more than 80% of people i know who came with tourist visa went back and very few got jobs mostly menial ones and the rest are street husslers. I wil advice instead of coming to Uae with the little money you have and watch it drain without landing, save it up and try schengen visas, china or turkey etc. Buh if you have the courage to try out Uae then i suggest you go for it. Magic do happen
NB: forget about the glamour you see from Uae residents when they come to naija, most of them actually made money from what they stole from you by extorting you from high visa fees. Be wise
