The thingy looks so damn uggllyy....!
But I guess based on culture, different strokes for different folks.

Your Mrs too will follow you to chop that thing? My MIL once made the error of bringing dried frogs/toads to my house I shouted so much my hubby immediately denied ever eating such a thing lol. I was so shocked that the woman quietly packed her things into her bag and took it back . I won’t even have allowed it into a cooking pot of mine!

Ahh...it shouldn't confuse you o! You wey dey chop all those kain things. Some toads are poisonous, while generally frogs are edible, so you go like know which is which, when harvesting those ones that jump in your way. Make your village people no go use am set leg for you o!
From what I understand, toads tend to be brown, have rough warty skin, and commonly found around grass, not necessarily around ponds. While frogs tend to be greenish, have smooth skin, and are usually found in/around water like ponds, pools and streams.

But I'm no expert sha, these ones na the little I remember from my Biology class waaay back, and my secondary school experience with toads.

Last time I checked ,apart from rough, warty poisonous skin toads have . They don’t have webbed feet .
But frogs have webbed feet , and smooth skin ,
Boss, This thing you chopped no get webbed feet o . Chaiii
Be like say na toad you chop ooo .
Plus , you probably wouldn’t have been able to catch it if it was a frog cos they can jump like crazy ,unlike toads .
