crisycent: U go sch so? Because obviously you are the real illiterate. The law says every public office holder must unfailingly declare his/her asset prior to assuming the office. Now the No 1 citizen as far as judiciary arm of govt is concern violate this law and cited forgetfulness as a reason. Now, common sense should tell you that, if and when such public office holder is found guilty of the aforementioned law, it become pertinent that the agency in charge should investigate to the last kobo every of the undeclared asset (s). 1 Like 1 Share |

naijapips04:You've said it all, how Onnoghen made the billions in his account isnt the issue; there's no law stopping him from having private businesses that can give him trillions. Nobody said he stole the money. The only issue is, why did he fail to declare it all before assuming office? That's what the law says and he knows the rules too well. And by the way, Osinbajo wasnt a 'mere' judge like you claimed. He owns a globally renown law firm that has won som huge cases in verifiable history. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

nairalee: Lawyers make huge money during election period. When they pursue their case in court they charge them so high amount and the politicians do pay. That's how Lawyers make money and i dont see any wrong there. |

AGNESikpuNNU:And u think the smart crook Onnoghen did right by trying to buy time when he suspended NJC meeting indefinitely that would hv investigated him? PMB didnt go against the constitution. Same Onnoghen in 2013 delivered a landmark judgement that on matter relating to breach of code of conduct act, like in asset declaration, the CCT has the power to penalise such public servant. If Onnoghen were really remorseful after admitting in writing that he "forgot" and not trying play smart, he would hv recuse himself and let NJC act not suspending the body indefinitely. That judicial tyranny. Finally fighting Nigeria's kind of corruption where everything is compromised, the rule of law n due process re already handicapped, necessity and urgency become inevitable. |

naijapips04: The boldness with which you show your ignorance is annoying.... first Osinbajo was never a Judge in any state, he was attorney general for Lagos state, that’s commissioner for justice.... Also, no one is saying the FORMER chief judge should not own money, the question is why didn’t he add it while declaring his asset? Answer is simple, cos he can’t account for it....And mind you, Osinbajo has his law firm....Onnoghen has been a government worker all his life...... get your facts right before spewing rubbish online... |

Richdad50:Foolish Southerners. They don't have sense. A gworo chewing Aboki has more intelligence than many people from the southern part of this country. If Musa steals, he is spared. But if Kola or Nedum steals they'd be hanged. What did Buhari say about Gandollar? He patted him on the back. What did he say about Babachir? He appointed him as his campaign director for Adamawa state. What of CCT chairman? What has happened to him? Even if the CJN is guilty I will support him to the last. 2 Likes |

Rickyuzzy:God will bless you for this.. I HAVE MY RESERVATIONS ABOUT BUHARI BUT THE AMOUNT BEING PEDDLED AROUND IS HUGE! HOW CAN YOU FAIL TO DECLARE SUCH? YOU HAVE RAISED SALIENT ISSUES WHICH ANY DISCERNING HUMAN SHOULD HAVE REALISED. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD FOLLOW THE RULE OF LAW BUT THIS SHOULD NOT BE SWEPT UNDER THE CARPET. NIGERIANS SHOULD START SEEING ISSUES FOR WHAT IT IS. 1 Like |

The CJN messed up big time and should defend himself at the CCT. This is Nigeria and all this online ranting is not going to do anything, after all Hell, fire and brimstone will be let loose if Jonathan lose the 2015 election, did anything happen after the election. Your guess is good as mine. |

Neoteny:The judiciary is an arm of government not an agency of the Federal Government. While the CBN holds his appointment at the pleasure of the President, the CJN does not! It's called separation of powers, the idea of limited government to prevent abuse of power. 1 Like |
