Chai.. this old man really steal money oh. Chai... how can you trust Nigeria Lawyers. They are deeply corrupt and deadly. No joy for lawyers in this country at all. Imagine what a common CJN stole.. God will surely judge corrupt civil servants . |

ct2:I dont really like to respond to posts like this, but in this case i will. Please kindly tell us what CJN was suspended for? was it the fact that the man has not declared his asset or he is being investigated for Fraudulent activities. Because if your tiny brains come here to make it seems having money in ones account is a criminal offense i will like to know. We need to apply more of sense to thinking than to criticize. |

Naruto87:Please re-elect Buhari if you like, I care less..I live in America and I have a career which I have maintained for almost 20 years and I run a personal business part time and I teach in a University part time, my hands are fully and I am living life to the fullest. Whatever I say here is out of love for Nigeria, and not because i want to win a debate with an ignorant person.... so, if you guys wanna re-elect Buhari, na una sabi, it does not affect me earning my dollars .... God bless you, as you live with the consequences of your Buhari decision! |

KIDfurniture:You have no sense at all, see the way you are talking as if he came to your house to steal the money, has it been proven that all the money were stolen. Once you are CJN you dont deserve to have any other side job again. Ode |

Mujtahida:The president has no direct powers to remove the CBN governor. We're talking about abusing due process, not just the type of office involved. |

ogbonti:Unfortunately in Nigeria we are usually voting not for the best brain, but the lesser of 2 evils. In our current scenario, as bad as Buhari is, he is probably the lesser of two evils. Or are you saying Atiku is better given what Obasanjo said about him? |

naijapips04:The whole process is taking place within the ambit of our laws and courts. This is the home turf of the CJN. So why the hullabaloo? |

This accounts would have been included in this next asset declaration form... besides the federal government can’t have access to his asset declaration form until he gives the permission for them to be released they had wanted to remove this man because of their personal gain... to disrupt the rule of law in the forthcoming election I am even sure most of all the inaugurated judges have been either been alleged of fraud or false asset declaration form so they will dance to the tunes of bubari and the cabals so as not to face prosecution... |

Basher8583:Hahahahaha, a dog in the US lives a better and a more meaningful life than 70% of human beings in Nigeria, FACT..... talk less of me who probably makes your yearly salary in a 5-day week!! (Assuming you make at least N100k a month, which I seriously doubt) .... ....and IF you were not deported, you will gladly be living under the bridge or some tunnels and still feel better than being a waste pipe in the sh it ho le with your lifeless messiah! |

princewillzs:Let's deal with your first example which is Kemi Kemi's position as the finance minister is different from the position of the CJN. While the finance minister can be appointed and fired solely by the President, the position of the CJN cannot. To remove or stop the CJN from acting in his capacity, the president requires a recommendation from 2/3 of the senate or the NJC. Anything short of that is self-help and acting outside the Constitution. Let me also correct an impression, nobody is saying Onnoghen is right in not declaring his assets. But let the law be used to prosecute him. To add to the issue of Kemi Adeosun, Do you know there are consequences in the NYSC laws if you forge it's certificate? But what happened to her? She merely resigned and left the country under the cover of the president. She wasn't charged as stated in the law. That is what we call double standard. If Buhari wants to fight corruption, fight it squarely. |

Rickyuzzy:You know if l apprehend a burglar in my house, l then decide to become judge and jury and sentence him to whatever punishment, l have effectively carried out an act of illegality. The key issue of Justice ⚖ is PROCESS & PROCEDURE without it you have lawlessness and criminality. There may indeed be a substantive case against the CJN however without following the laid down legal process anything outside of that process is ILLEGAL. Our country is corrupt and l actually think that it's very probable that all our supreme Court judges are corrupt. But that is not the issue. But due process is to establish truth and justice. Two wrongs do not make a right. Considering the supersonic speed in which a caricature of an order was proported to have been obtained is HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE and completely without merit. There has been no recourse to the constitutional fundamentals they have been totally circumvented. The president can not appoint a Chief Judge. We also are moving into tribalistic, religious bigotry and nepotism. The only supreme Court judge to join hands with Tanko in this aberration is also from the North. Because Buhari has declared Tanko CJN does not make him CJN, only the NJC can do that. As it stands l can see the NJC suspending Tanko. We have not also factored in the response of the NA when they reconvene on Tuesday. Or will the DSS lock up the national assembly and arrest the legislators PMB has opened wide the doors of anarchy , let's see how our democracy will survive. |

| Re: Onnoghen: BVN Reveals More Accounts by Nobody: 11:31am On Jan 27, 2019 |
mrollyB:It is really simple if your money is genuine, you would proudly declare where and how you got it. Perhaps you do not know what his salary from the day he began his practice till date cannot sustain the amounts posted in his account, then as the CJN at this point in time, he is supposed to justify the source of such wealth which he is not ready to do. |

naturalmi:Confirmed! I'm sorry, lol |
| Re: Onnoghen: BVN Reveals More Accounts by Nobody: 11:34am On Jan 27, 2019 |
naturalmi:Yes, he declared such sums because he could prove where the money came from. He is an international lawyer, a professor and former AG of Lagos and he can justify how he made the money through his law firm, can the CJN who has been a judge justify his source of income? |
