Hi All,

I am starting this thread so we can discuss pregnancy and all the joys, anticipation, expectation and all aspects of this beautiful time in a woman's life.
At times pregnancy can be very difficult and may even become life threatening, when conditions such as pre-eclamsia,gestational diabetes, Incompetent cervix, PPROM etc.  So lets use this space to discuss all aspects of this process.

Nothing in relation to pregnancy is off limits, lets share our experience and support each other in a caring respectful way. Doctors can only give so much advice, but i know first hand peer support is equally important.

So lets start talking!

Below are a list of ladies that have included their delivery dates, lets keep them in mind by praying and meditating and sending them positive energy, I will update the list reguarly, just include the month you are due. I will also update once you confirmed you have delivered. This will allow ladies to see others that are due around the same time as themselves and perhaps you may find a pregnancy "buddy". I went for antenatal today o, and after checking me oga doctor said i will be admitted today to be induced tomorrow due to reduced amniotic fluid that is still withing normal range o. He is just trying to play safe. I had a scan done and babys heartbeat is still fine. So i pleaded to be admitted next week. Hopefully by next week i will fall into labour naturally. I dont want to be induced.

Omo ehn, i had to run, cos he refused next week sef. He said his own advice as my doctor is that im admitted immediately and induced tomorrow like dis. The scan shows all is well, I believe he just wants to be safe than sorry. Im sure princess will be able to wait .

Na so I tire race on 14 Jan. I went for antenatal, complained of headache and occasional pain on the abdominal region. Dr. Prescribed drugs without telling me what the drugs were to treat or correct. Their store said the bill is 5k7h. Went back to the Dr. But he refused to tell me exactly what he was trying to treat just said madam go pay and collect your drugs. I told him Mr. Dr. Those are not my drugs and besides I don't have the amt of money on me. Oga said NO PROBLEM JUST PAY WHAT YOU HAVE AND THE NURSE/ABI STOREKEEPER WILL GIVE ME THE ONE MY MONEY CAN AFFORD. Na so I carry my leg comot for their hospital go buy catfish cook my pepper soup. After doing Justice to the meal, I slept very well and wake couldn't find the headache again.

Haba everyday I go there, they will prescribe one thing or another and you must buy from them.

1. When can one register for ante-nantal?
2. Someone said sweet things such as drinks cold water should be avoided at an early stage of pregnancy, how true is this please?
3. At how many weeks do one knows the sex of the baby?

So please try and eat, take a bath, drink warm milk (can't stand evaporated milk) turn off all lights and electronics put a wet towel over your head and just lay on the bed with your eyes closed even if it looks like sleep is not coming, you won't know when you wee doze off and start snoring sef

i had no pains during pregnancy, it was after i had my baby the pain started......the swollen labia has gone back to it's normal state,it's only torn now....The wound is 96% healed
