You captured what I posted earlier, don't write off a minor because she got pregnant. I have a friend who had her baby at 16 but today she is a senior executive of one of the top class hotels in Kenya, earning top bucks and now married with children.

I have but a few questions:
1. Was the traditional marriage ceremony not conducted with the knowledge and blessings of the bride's family?
2. Being of pure Igbo stock, I know that traditional marriage ceremonies are performed in the ancestral home of d bride. Was the father or eldest man in d bride's family not aware of the marriage?
3. If the father gave her out to be married, why do they think it's wise to return her back to the same family that married her off?
4. What guarantee is there that the girl would not go back to that other family?

5. Something precipitated this marriage in the first place, maybe it was a debt or some other kinda monetary obligation on d part of the bride's family. Will it be investigated and solved once and for all time?

I earlier thought he was a mad man but I feel so sorry now for referring to him as mad. Down syndrome is a genetic defect that is no one's fault and I agree he needs love too.
