Chanbaby: Hahahahaha!!! Chanbaby. Because US citizen needs Visa to enter Nigeria and most African countries. That’s why. US passport does not have access to every country. In fact, Japan has the highest accessibility to countries |

U gave birth in US and applied for US citizenship , citizens of the US need a visa to come to Nigeria. When u arrive Nigeria u can then apply for Nigerian Passport. So if he/she is going to a country where US citizens do not require visa, upon leaving Nigeria, u present ur Nigerian n US passport. Upon arrival at said country u present ur US passport. I stand corrected tho. Chanbaby: 2 Likes |

Use your American passport to travel to countries that are visa free for Americans. Present your Nigerian passport when you enter Nigeria. That's the advantage of dual citizenship. So your baby should have both American and Nigerian passport. 1 Like |

Please I'm a FTM and I have a lot of questions hoping someone can help me answer 1. At my visa interview I told the officer I would be having my babies in El Paso Texas. Will it cause any troubles for me at POE if I decide to go to another city like Maryland or Dallas? (relatives in these two cities recently offered to accommodate me). 2. Can one adult travel with two newborns? 3. Does anyone have very affordable hospital recommendations in Dallas or Maryland? |

TheMrsE: Officers are looking for an excuse to send birth tourists back. Go where ever you said you were going and avoid coming back here to post the drama you created by doing other than you specifically said you would do to the VO and for which you were approved. 2 Likes 1 Share |

babestell: Do you think it is possible to leave within 2 weeks of the baby's birth? I have heard it would take 30 days or more to receive the SSN so not sure if I need to wait around for it. I want to leave asap but was also told by DOH Hawaii that it would take 4-6 weeks for a birth certificate and they won't confirm that it would be shorter if I go to an office instead. The US passport seems to be the fastest document to get, with a one day turn around possible if you go in person but I'm nervous about the other stuff taking long... |

babestell: I don't understand. U went to SSA office to collect SSN? Well i went day 3weeks after birth and they checked and said no number has been assigned to my baby yet. Already has his passport though. |

Hello house, please I need clarification ohhh. My Visa status was updated yesterday to Administrative processing and same yesterday the cgifederal changed to "Schedule an appointment". No email received, no 221g letter, no passport returned and the check visa status is still showing Administrative processing. For Passport tracking: Shows no status update. Please, I am thinking I should wait 2 days to see if its mistake before I go ahead and schedule the appointment. Guru in the house, help @justwise, sorry for disturbing again and every other gurus in the house |

Akorkor: The 221g letter will come when your passport is ready for pick up. Wait a while. They will send you another message that your passport is ready for pick up. You can however go ahead and schedule the appointment. Don't get your hopes up, it's not a mistake. That is usually the thread. The ceac website will continue to say administrative processing until you've attended the interview and a final decision has been made |

I have a contrary opinion, except the process has now changed. Last September 2018, within 24 hours my status changed to administrative processing, i checked https://cgifederal.secure.force.com i got a notification to schedule a 221g(this is was clearly written) and i was giving an option for different dates and time slots which i chose the closest and most convenient. believe me, my passport was not sent till after a week i scheduled the 221g interview. asake85: In my case, it is not even written if its 221g. They just wrote "Schedule an appointment" all within 12hrs after status changed from application received to administrative processing. Was thinking they would write 221g interview schedule |
