How? Buhari should uproot existing rail tracks (more than 100yrs old),then lay his own just to prove what to you?
ISmellLies:
GEJ Projects
GEJ Contractors.

You people have no shame. You denied this things in the past as if they never existed now you are hawking them like gala on nairaland.
Rice, Railway, Universities, Vehicle assembly etc are his achievements.

Buhari should try initiate his own project for his successors to complete. None Exist.

If I were the old man I would start a maize and airline revolution and my successors complete them. Successors don't complete non viable projects, ask wike-amechi monorail, lagos-fashola Rail, cross Rivers etc

We haven't even set our eyes on the trains yet and this grasshopper is already doing post about trains that FG might order, since when did you become procurement engineer for the FG. Other African countries are not even making noise about the speed trains that they have ( Ethiopia and South Africa ) it's these pieces of junk you are making noise for. I no blame you, knowing Nigerian Government very well, they will import one scrap at an exorbitant price.

ETHIOPIA

That Ethiopia has built Africa’s first metro is illustrative of the country’s development in recent years: its economy has grown at rates of 10% per year for most of the last decade, partly thanks to grand infrastructure projects like this one. But it is evidence also of Chinese expansion across Africa. A Chinese loan paid for 85% of the $475m the Addis Ababa metro has cost; astonishingly, the line was built in just three years with plenty of imported engineering help. It will be run for the next five years by the Shenzhen Metro Group and China Railway Engineering Corporation. Chinese money is also paying for a new full-sized railway in Ethiopia, connecting Addis Ababa to Djibouti, which is planned to open next year, as well as new lines in Kenya and Nigeria.

But other metro projects in sub-Saharan Africa are rare. Lagos, Nigeria’s biggest city, has had plans for a light rail transit system for several years now, which the World Bank has helped to fund; but construction has been continually delayed. There is much fighting over what has happened to the money already spent. Other large African cities, such as Nairobi, are investing more in roads than in rails. Commuters hoping to get onto a train and skip the traffic will have to keep waiting.

Abuja has a light rail system, I wonder why you ignored that?

We should procure 100km/h trains in the 21st century because Nigeria can't boast of 24hr power..

the

Those are not high speed railway

Ethiopia is a mono rail and light rail, thesame thing seen in abuja

While that of SA only has a more aesthetic look because it only runs are 160kmph, which is according to the op post, the trains in the picture will run at thesame speed, and almost thesame with what is in abuja-kaduna

The only high speed train in Africa is in Morocco and it runs at over 220kmph I hope you get it now

Modified

I am sorry I didn't even take a look at that SA train well, that train is not even a speed train...that's a light rail oga

If that is all you got from my write up, then your logic is flawed.

My point is, why purchase trains at all when the basic amenity hasnt been met?

Lol Please imagine, the suggested trains are running and suddenly, power goes out, what happens?

Those trains I see in op's pictures states 160kmph and that's the second fastest trains in Africa after Morocco's high speed 220km train

While we were busy calling these achievements, other countries in Africa where we claim to be the Giant have leap frogged to building and operating bullets trains that run 300-350km per hour.

Morocco 321.2km

South Africa

160km

Abuja-Kaduna

The bullet train is a dream come through for any country. Imagine a train as fast as jet, 350km/hr and they are still improving on the speed.

I just knew someone will be miserable to abandon the free gift of sense. For what it's worth, the trains you are using for you comparison are passenger-only trains. the one for Lagos-ibadan; passengers and freight.
