We are talking about a person in a position of trust, what was the point coming out to say He can't afford to buy the form, was that not to buy sympathy>
put yourself in his shoes....
if u were once the military head of state in a country and also a civilian president will u allow your children to study in Futminna or Usman danfodio University or even OAU just because u wanna maintain the so called Mr Integrity??

If u can answer this rhetorical question within you, then u will know why i say the issue on ground is no big deal and a baseless point

Why not you as a leader should put yourself 4ward as an example. The only reason this is not the case here is corruption and criminal minded people everywhere.

SweetJoystick:

He was military President 1984/1985. This same man lied that he couldn't afford APC nomination form in 2014. He is a phony, dubious character who rides on the laundered integrity image by the media

They hired US best image launderer who laundered the image of Buhari as a no nonsense anti corruption crusader.
Whereas it's a big lie.

Now, the worst corruption is picking less qualified tribesmen and religious people to fill political posts.

Off course I'm aware of that, My cousin bro studied in Glasgow and i know how much was spent but I will try as much as possible not to be sentimental here...U don't expect the children of the President or a once retired General to school in Nigeria

Main reason it's very risky considering the level of kidnapping ravaging this country

are u kidding me but Obama children school in the US..well my take is this buhari is a former head of state receiving pensions and his wife is well to do and from an affluent background...de can afford it...but saying we don't expect our leaders children to school here is nonsense...if our schools are running optimum yy can't leaders children school here d other places de are running to was built by pple not angels na

The sensible question to ask is how much is his pension even as a former head of state to send all his children to the UK for studies? According to him, he has no other source of income except a small farm, hence he could not afford APC nomination form and took a bank loan.

Being a supporter of PMB requires crass stupidity

Is this to demonize Buhari or what? An ordinary civil servant send their kids abroad to study let alone a former head of state with fat pensions and gifts. How many Nigerians study abroad whose parents are paupers. I have many friends in the UK schooling whose parents sold many of their belongings for their children to travel out. Does that mean that every Nigerian studying abroad has corrupt parents
And yet he claimed he could not afford 22 million naira as apc ticket.
Clowns like you even used it as a campaign jingle.

Poor old buhari. So full of integrity that he could not afford 22 million naira.

The joke is on you. The old man is laughing at you and your generations.

Trying to justify evil cause you have sold your conscience for porridge is disgusting.

As a former head of state, the presido enjoys some special privileges not limited to free education to university level to all his children. You can beaf the much you can, that won't change his status as a former president.

Back to the topic: there are some nothern elders whose children are trained by other people. That's because of how highly respected they are. Even the huge sum former presidents and head of state receive as pension and gifts is enough to send 10 people abroad to study if the person is not flamboyant.
