Thy opened it, removed the connector cleaned and fixed them back and that was it.

yes they can check it and if it shows u pay if it didn’t u give them the screen back. Before then find a dark place use a flashlight and flash it on the screen. Look closely and check if u can see anything. Then again there is a probability that the phone fell and the screen flex cable shifted so when u get there they should remove ur screen connector and put it back to know if it will come up

Now on what to do cause it has happened to me not too long ago with an insecure babe of mine, just make sure you have a backup then you will need to sync with iTunes to restore

but in any case iTunes restore did not work, what was your settings after multiple failed attempts? cause the system will either lock you out completely or erase your data

I know. That’s why I always ask people to troubleshoot by their selves before taking their gadgets to an engineer. But the thing there is if u are not techy and know u might spoil things it’s better to take it there than sorry. Am glad ur phone is okay now

the only way is to restore it but make sure u have the iCloud details. If not u will be locked out. If u have a system u have used before to back the phone up make use of the system it will help u bypass some difficulties

With jail break I can make my phone look like exactly the way your iPhone X looks like ... same top bar and features .

It’s sad that there’s no jail break available for iOS 11.4 and 12.
