I'm sorry guy, but you won't find your answer here. Most people here are frustrated 3rd class graduates who only finds validation in discrediting anything that look like merit or first class. They're quick to point the fact that there are many first class graduates out there without job, and they themselves are the future entrepreneur lord like Elon Musk, Steve Job who will employ the first class graduates and give them job in the future. All that they need to do is to graduate with 3rd class or even drop out and become Mark Zuckerberg.

Some of ur course mates will like you while others will be envious.


No other advantage but if u are lucky ur department might retain you as a lecturer i.e if they're short of staff and they see u can make a good teacher

you will be popular in school, like every student will want to associate with you.

Being the best in your department doesn't give you any edge just personal ego among your fellow students if not we'll managed.
You might be the best in your department but still not a first class candidate just strong 2.1. So in the labour market first class honour students will still edge you the best in your department (strong 2nd class upper)but not a first class. You can only get being employed in your school.

Your result will be treated with care....
