I just learnt its a good school from a new friend.
But I think you should use online review to check about the school and Salford itself, some school allow you talk to current students as well.
Yes, you can work out your accomodation and feeding from what you earn during study and hope you remember you must have a place to stay on arriving as well, so include that in your plan before leaving Nigeria.
Success!

Hello House,
I'm planning to apply for a tier 4 visa with my family, wife & 2 children. However when the passport for my 2nd son was done there was a mistake in the surname, my wife added his middle name to the surname thus making the surname of both children different, and I just discovered it now. Though I have their birth certificates, I'm just wondering if it is likely to cause any issues with visa application and in future. I contacted someone in customs and they are demanding N120k to make the corrections which is too much for me. I would appreciate any info if this is likely to cause problems.
Thanks in anticipation for your replies

Until you use GOOGLE to search the Schools you want, contact them about the criteria for Msc admission.
You won't have an answer.

Please does anyone have information about Coventry University. I plan to study there come September. I came across their contact person for Nigeria via their official website and we interacted. They have an open day next month which I plan to attend. I want to know how solid the school is as regards admission and processing. Any information would be appreciated.

Hello house

My sister had her appointment today for a Tier 4 Student visa. We never expected an interview, we thought it was just an appointment to drop documents. Our uncle in the UK is sponsoring her and her first year school fees had been fully paid and mentioned on the CAS. Also funds for living expenses have been in her own account for over 28days.

So she had her statement of accounts but did not have that of my uncle.
In her interview she was asked various questions about her sponsor, what he does, why he was sponsoring her, how much he earns, his dependants, etc. As we did not prepare for an interview, and we thought the focus would not be on the sponsor as the money was in her own account, she did not have answers to these questions. She did however answer her personal questions well.

Please suggest the next line of action for us.

Also please help with an insight to the consequences of not having enough information about your sponsor.

Should my uncle contact the embassy directly with his details. If so? How?

Best Of My Knowledge:
Its good.
But I'd rather you check the Course modules you will be studying, is it good enough? any Internship?
Ask question from the "School's " academic staffs......(School of Engineering, Law)..... Yes, I did.
The lecturers that I met were good and they would help you all the way.
Its a modern university that is really climbing up speedily and preferred by a lot of Nigerians because it has a large Nigerian Community.
Do your part.

Sir/Madam,
You sure had seen this thread before today for you to post here immediately after the Interview and if you had taken the pain to read through you could have avoided such mistake.
1. An Uncle cannot sponsor A TIER 4 VISA.
Only Yourself, Parents.
Relatives can give you money but you cannot tell UKVI they sponsored you , of course it shows that person didn't read guidelines of studying in the UK.
And they would believe if you didn't read basic Visa rules, how can you prove you are ready to study?
I am so shocked that you didn't know she was going to have an interview even if this person is going for Foundation Degree, I expect her doing better as per UKVI guidelines.
You coming here for her seriously means this person is not ready for business.
When she is , this thread has Part 1- 3 of about 300pages each.
Every tiny detail that you need is there.

It is rated as a one of the top 10 universities in the world and was recommended to me by a research specialist. But I know sometimes the reality on ground might be different. The few reviews I read were positive and I am seeking more reviews, specifically from Nigerians. Can you explain why the university no make am? grin
