Did the induction September 2016, went through a training process with a business support office in 2017/2018. The documents submitted during the training are being graded on the portal. That’s all the info I have

Waao! I'm short of words but not really surprised, considering the number of people from 2016 and 2017, with a deadline of March to round up. The programme will probably need to double its manpower to cope with tasks at hand effectively

We investigated your complaint and found out that you are under the Fast track 3 window. Given the closure date of March 29, 2019, the Project will not be able to carry out that intervention as the allocated time is very short to complete the entire process.
However, we will let you know if we have any update in that regard..

This is very confusing. They've told someone who applied in 2018 that there's not enough time to process his application and they're still asking people to submit application latest today! Which kain confusion be this now?

BDSP = BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SERVICE PROVIDER i.e your assigned consultant.

The application for grant template is shown after you have reached at least 50 points for matching grant and 100 for performance grant on your dashboard

Please disregard, the previous communication about the deadline for grant application being today midnight.

We did not want to take the risk of you losing out completely on the opportunity when we got the information. We tried to verify directly with GEM’s office yesterday but they had closed.

 

This morning we were able to clarify with them and we were told that the deadline does not apply to you all here.

 

The deadline for today 5pm is only for those are doing their disbursement documentation i.e those that are on track for receiving their grants.

 

For those of you on matching grant level who have started applying, please do not continue your application. Wait until you get to 100% score for performance grant.

Those who have reached the performance grant level and have commenced application, you can continue but take your time to put in a good application and do not be in a haste to click the submit button today.

 

We are very sorry if any of you in matching grant level has applied because of the previous communication.

What you don't understand is that those submitting business plan now have applied since mid 2016. Most of their colleagues on fast track have long collected both their first & second tranche.

We also applied in 2016. Got inducted in May 2017 and we were invited to submit business plans by April 2018. And since then no word from them. So we're also pretty much 2016 applicants!

Thank you for your email and we truly appreciate the frankness.

 

While we acknowledge the fact  that the program experienced delays in implementation, kindly note that most of them were beyond the PIU's control hence the slow down in implementation activities.

 

If you have been following the news on the Project you would recall that we tried everything possible to secure extension of the Project for another 1 year. However, the power to make such decisions does not lie with the PIU,

 

Following the final approval of March 29, 2019 as the new closing date, the Project had to adjust its activities to meet the deadline hence the cancellation of some activities of which Fast Track 3 was one of them.

 

As earlier noted, we truly understand and regret your frustrations but unfortunately, there is not much we can do within our powers. Nevertheless, should there be any development in this regard, be rest assured we will get in touch with you.
