This shows that your win-7 license has expired. So, you need to activate it.

Usually a software person should be able to help with this.
Sadly, I can't recommend any sites for downloads because you will risk contracting malware from these sites.

Sometimes, it does continue from where it stopped. However, in such cases where it doesn't, a blue screen results and you're of course forced to re-install windows.

It's advisable to have a total screen change even if the backlight can be fixed.

You visit repair man again with same issue

Repair man fixes same issue NGN5,000 (e don sabi you )

I didn't mention you'll eventually replace the screen (las las)

Hello, I just got a UK used hp Pavilion dv7 Intel core 5 2.53Ghz 6gb ram 64-bit.
I got this specs cuz I need speed for muktitasking.
I'm surprised the laptop is slow especially when connected to internet.
I've tried various means.
Just downloaded speed fan to know if the laptop heat is the problem.
These are the stats: Fan 1: 125rpm
Fan 2: 3779rpm
HD0: 42°C
Temp 1: 72°C
Core 0: 64°C
Core 1: 70°C

Also, vlc doesn't play movies well. I've tried various versions. It keeps skipping.

Back light is an easy fix and it doesn't mean the fault will occur again.
Back light fault can come from the screen it self (if the fuse at the back is short to ground most times) or from the motherboard.

In the case of the motherboard even if you change 1 million screen you will still get the same issue.
Buying a new screen does not means this same fault can not occur the next day, remember we are talking about electronics, as long as it has to do with light anything can happen at any given time.

Even if you buy a new laptop now, it doesn't mean it won't develop fault tomorrow.

It's left for him to choose though but if fault is from motherboard and not the screen then he has to fix the motherboard.

As long as it has pass the first stage, it will always continue from where it stop.


Should in case you get a blue screen then you have to reinstall again.

Always connect your charger when installing a new operating system. If it goes off like that it can damage your hdd.

The best thing to do is see a laptop technician.
Fault can be software or hardware.

If you laptop have a button or where to press to activate the speaker sound on it, try it out first.

The best thing to do is increase your ram or increase your virtual memory by right clicking on my computer.

Select Properties==advanced system settings===advanced==performance==advanced==(virtual memory) then click on change.

Input 20000mb, click on apply and reboot your laptop.

Adapter voltage is not being detected on your motherboard.

Morning guys..... I have been unable to use Wi-fi on my Windows 10 Acer laptop cos the Wi-fi Icon is missing, I have tried running ncpa.cpl but it's not showing nearby networks. I also tried troubleshooting but still the same issue.

I ran a Intel Pro Wireless test on it and it says Association failed.

And the hardware is working perfectly and I tried updating the driver through driverpack and driverbooster, it says I have the latest version. What could be the problem?

u will have to enable quick boot in the bios setup
