I don't envy Okowa, the only way he is winning a 2nd term is if the fathers of his fathers are behind him...... angry
I am from Delta and I can assure you that APC would have won if they had fielded a candidate from Delta North. Ogboru will not win..you can take that to the bank

I am not a politician and I don't intend to be one. However, there is a great danger in APC winning all states or even most. The nation would not have any opposition and that's dangerous for democracy.

The Buhari led government is too draconian and dangerous to be trusted with absolute powers. Tinubu's aggressive involvement is not for the interest of common men or the country, he has an interest which would be glaring to us all in few years to come. As for Oshiomole, he is the personification of what a leader must not be. For the record, Nigeria deserves better than Buhari and Atiku combined.

Without winning all the States in 2015...All the governors are loyal to him and they all have a soft spot for PMB regardless of party affiliation Umahi,Obiano etc Because he didn't trample on their interest like OBJ did

The riverine areas hold the ace, who is the Ijaw man in APC that can do the yeo man's job? Okowa as an incumbent still has the advantage.

My friends from Delta state, you must be wise enough to know that buhari's plan is evil continually as he has no good plans for the country. If APC hijacks delta state, buhari will pocket the state and your oil wells will be taken away. that will be the introduction of marginalization. BE WISE

Ogboru would fail woefully. In Feb 23 election, APC struggled to win only one house of reps seat out of ten. PDP won the other nine. Even the APC guy that won the house of rep seat, didn't win because of APC, he won because he is a pastor and most Christians decided to vote him, I m talking of Rev Francis Ejiro Waive. APC also managed to win one senatorial seat in Delta Central, Agege struggled to defeat Oboro of PDP with about twelve thousand votes. It is even believed that Agege votes from Ughelli North and his ward in Orugun were inflated.

Okowa would defeat Ogboru. Ogboru would struggle to win in Delta Central but that would not take him far. Make no mistake, the likes of Victor Ochei, Cairo Ojuogboh, I be Kachikwu would support Okowa behind doors, it is believed that Delta North must have their eight years.

Before 2023, when it is the turn of Delta Central to produce the next governor, Agege and Ogboru would part ways as Agege would come for him fiercely to pick the governorship ticket of APC and that would be the end of Ogboru, the man is broke,

Oshare suffery, Omo-agege defeated Oboro hands down, even with the massive rigging in Uvwie and Okpe, she still lost, all LGA chairmen in Delta central were busy influencing votes for her, yet she was defeated. what a shame.

Now, you just said Ogboru will struggle to win Delta central, like are you kidding me? lol, Ogboru will clear Delta central and Have a nice cut from Delta north, his only issue is Delta south, the level of rigging going on there is alarming, "even Satan they learn for there".

Exactly, Delta Central can easily strike Delta north and balance some votes from Delta south, but with the thousands of votes flying from that axis, it will be difficult for APC to defeat Okowa.

Lol, dude, last election I was like what!, manager pulled 220k votes, from where kwa?, or since when do fishes start voting grin. In a free and fair election, Uduaghan would have won, because votes from the isokos and itsekiri's were in his favor, only for us to start seeing some results from the creek.

DID YOU READ THIS THREAD BEFORE COMMENTING? THERE ARE SO MUCH E THUGS ON Nairaland. I am outta here.
Kagawa10:
Let it be known that Lagos isn't a no man's land.

That a part of Lagos (Eko island) once had a Bini king doesn't mean the Awori, Egba, Ikorodu natives of Lagos suddenly turned into foreigners in their own land. This is equivalent to once having British leaders in Nigeria but that didn't automatically turn Nigerians and our land to British land.

Besides, no way would Bini jumped over Ondo and Ogun state to own Lagos which is farther from Edo state. There's is not even one Bini culture in Lagos.

Secondly, no stupid SS oil developed Lagos. Lagos seaport was built before the Amalgamation of Nigeria. Lagos was an economic hub before the Amalgamation of Nigeria. Lagos was amalgamated with Nigeria because of her seaport which means Nigeria needed lagos more than lagos needed Nigeria.

Let these sink into every eediot who love to spew rubbish.

You are wrong.

Opposition in Nigeria is not based on ideology but on campaigns of calumny which do nothing for democracy.

Most of our problems stem from our Governors. The likes of Yahaya Bello, Rochas and Fayose ran their states into the ground.

The Presidency was.powerless to go after them because their ability to deliver their state was needed from the next election.

Cast your mind back to how OBJ dealt with Fayose, Alamaesiagha and other errant Governors. He could do that because there was no external threat from another party.

Nigeria has been sitting on a.precipe where Governors have been steadily running their states into financial delinquency since 2011. They know as long as their party needs them to deliver, they can do what they like. I would urge you to look at the debt profile.of each state since 2011 till now.

http://yourbudgit.com/state-economy/#1

Our politics has become too expensive under 2 party system. Massive bribes and looting of treasury are required to deliver elections where the opposition is formidable. This comes at the expense of development.

Both parties have no.ideology. PDP is no opposition to APC. Nothing differentiates them. The only opposition we truly have (should) come from civil society and the press.

The PDP has a better chance, It's 60:40 in favor of the PDP, that's from a realistic point of view, but if APC can minimize the level of rigging in those riverine communities, then the battle will be a tough one.

I see ogboru emerging victorious.buhari should send soldiers to burutu, bomadi, patani and warri south west to scatter pdp rigging plans or destabilize the area.ogboru will clear delta central while also using federal might to disrupt delta north.

APC want to kill their selves just because of oil revenue. Why does it have to be Delta Rivers or Akwa Ibom that must be won? What happened to Plateau or Ogun? After they would claim they are fighting corruption

This will be his last election in the state, after now, I believe he will be more like a Godfather, that's if he looses. He tried for APC in the last presidential election, his influence alone brought thousands of votes to APC.

This coming election will be an interesting one bro.
