A young lady by the handle Feminist B**ch on Twitter has taken to the app to share her mothers experience while in an abusive relationship.

According to the young lady, her mum was a strong independent woman but lost all of that in the relationship until she decided enough.

I have a neighbour who used to beat his wife. People asked her to stay on because of the kids and she continued chopping beating. One day, while being beaten, her husband pushed her off the stairs and she landed on her head.

She's dead now and her husband absconded from police custody.

Any relationship that is making you to depreciate sense of self, walk away from it. A man or woman whose spouse is toxic is a living hell.


There is nothing heroic about staying in an abusive marriage rather it is insecurity that makes people hang on.

Marriage doesn't guarantee happiness or peace of mind.. Besides, if you can't deal with it, leave and never look back. Your partner is meant to complete and spur you to achieve greater things and not tear you down. If your relationship /marriage is void of peace and harmony.. Kindly be on your own.
