Kindly provide dates for these certifications.

You've got quite a wide range of choice for occupation. We need to find an occupation that can give you maximum point for ITA based on the date you met the skilled level for the occupation. Also note that IT occupations are very competitive.

Chijiuche:

I graduated from University of Nigeria Nsukka.

I currently have OCA, CCNP( Routing and switching), MCITP, PMP , MOR, SSBB, ITIL and CBAP certifications

Have you checked the occupation list to identify if any occupation that matches or is closely related to your occupation is on the list?

It is the first thing to do. For some occupations, you don't have to have qualification in the occupation.

It is a short term temporary work visa. It is organised through the employer and it involves a long hurdle to cross.

There is a two year work visa. However, we don't know the class that was sold to you. I will advice that you explain what prompted your question to be given right information before you enter one chance.

Hello house, please I have a question. I went through the skilled list on sub class 189. I'm a barrister so my occupation is there, although I don't have a solid work experience.
My hubby is to be the PA. He's a ship officer on a cargo vessel but what we saw on the sub class list is ship master.
Are we still eligible? How do we go about this please?
Thanks for your response.

What is your husband's qualification?

Ship officer is not on the list and ship master is only sponsored by Northern Territory on 489 visa. NT application is a slow and long one.

What does he do on the cargo vessel? What qualification is he working with on the cargo vessel?

Cheers.

Good day everyone, please I need help.
My husband and I decided to try the Australian route after trying the Canada express entry program.
My husband is a medical Doctor, but in the last 6years he has not been practicing clinical medicine, he works with the ministry of health and he does more of administrative jobs,(statistics).he works in the ambulance department.
I'll like to know if he can get a positive assessment from VETASSES, if he uses one of these related occupation.
#Ambulance officer
#Emergency service worker
#intensive care ambulance paramedics.
#Occupational health and safety adviser.
Thanks, I'll patiently wait for your response.

Please, I will send you a DM. I'd like to connect with other doctors preparing for the process. Thanks

Thank you so much for your reply sir.

He's a third officer on a merchant navy vessel. He's been working for over 5years and I've been working for 3years plus. I had a long study and research on the issue. I found out I could be the PA if I register as a foreign lawyer and pay the prescribed fees before applying for the PR. I would like to go for a PhD once I get the PR, I don't know if this is possible but if it is, I would be glad.
What do you think about this sir?

Good morning house, what could be the major advantages of embracing to migrate to Australia through PR over migrating to Canada through PR? (2)Hope,for the two,one is required to write Ielts general?(3)If you use ielts general to migrate to Australia via pR,and on getting to Australia, you want to enroll into a school for a program, would the school be expecting you to provide your ielts academic result?(4)Are you expected to send your WAEC,b.sc,msc results to these occupation assessing Australian bodies such as vetassess,Anmac etc or only your highest qualifications? Thank you so much my people as i look forward to getting answers to the above questions.

Good morning Nairalanders,

Thank you for all the great work!

Please, I am a graduate of Elect Elect (B.Eng) but I have about 8years work experience in the ICT field, more related to the ANZSCO code 261111 - ICT Business Analyst.

My 8yrs experience cuts across the following: Bank - 1yr, Consulting firm - 6yrs, and my Current job - 1yr. However, my roles are still ICT-related in the firms.
I plan on submitting my ACS Assessment this coming week and I need to request Reference Letters from my organizations. I need help in the following areas:

1. Please, I would need a sample Reference Letter for ACS Assessment on ICT Business Analyst

2a. If ACS chooses to make my B.Eng Elect Elect an ICT Minor, then they will take out 5yrs from my 8yrs work experience which means I need the remaining 3yrs completely to claim my 5points for Experience. So asking for Reference Letter from my current employment is needed to make up for this 3yrs for my 5points on Experience. However, I am not sure what my boss and the HR in my current organization will think requesting a Reference Letter from them now (like I want to leave or something cry).

2b. Or can my current job's work-experience Reference Letter be sent later , once it's good enough time to request (Maybe when things are about to click), without paying a new ACS Assessment fee ?

3. Can my Reference Letter be addressed "To whom it may concern"? The reason is that I do not want it being addressed to the Australian Immigration for instance, and then, I may need to tender it maybe to the Canadian Immigration or for something else.

Thank you soo much for the anticipated responses.

A ship officer is not sponsored by any state, it is difficult to nominate ship officer occupation. For Barrister or Solicitor, you will have to be called to the bar in Australia before you can be given a positive assessment for migration purpose. If you want to nominate the legal profession, you will assess with Law Society of any of the States. You will be given the courses you need to do to meet up with Australian law and legal system. When you complete the course, you will be called to the bar in that state and can now apply for PR.

please,my wife is a registered nurse and a registered midwife from a school of nursing in Nigeria with an 8years working experience and she wants to migrate to Australia with her family.Must she have a b.sc nursing from a university before she will apply to be assessed as a registered nurse in Australia?Must she be a registered nurse in AHPRA before her occupation has to be assessed by ANMAC?How many ielts exams is she going to write?I guess,it is ielts academic or general? The one she will write for AHPRA assessment, will she use it for ANMAC assessment?Others, apart from nurses such as sales manager usually write ielts general for general skilled migration program, why am i hearing about ielts academic for nurses, why is it like this?

It is the first thing to do. For some occupations, you don't have to have qualification in the occupation.
Thanks for the reply boss. I have checked and this is what it gave me, which is the field I have more than 10years experience in.

Conference and Event Organiser (ANZSCO Code 149311)

This occupation requires a qualification assessed as comparable to the educational level of an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Diploma, in a field highly relevant to the nominated occupation.

In addition to this, applicants must have at least one year of post-qualification employment at an appropriate skill level completed in the last five years in a field which is highly relevant to the nominated occupation. If employment is not post-qualification, then three additional years of highly relevant employment are required.

If the qualification is not in a highly relevant field, two years of employment at an appropriate skill level, completed in the last five years which is highly relevant to the nominated occupation is required. This is reduced to one year if there is an additional qualification at least at AQF Certificate IV level in a highly relevant field.

A positive assessment of both qualifications and employment is required for a positive Skills Assessment Outcome.

For visa-related requirements including caveats that may apply for certain occupations, please visit the Department of Home Affairs website.

I really don't know about this, Pls if it's positive what are my next step and if negative! What do I do?

1. A sample reference letter is available on ACS website, I would have shared mine but its old and outdated as it does not meet the ACS latest requirement
2a. Elect Elect is most likely to be accessed as ICT Major, however going for ICT bus analyst can result in a 4yrs exp deduction.
2b. Reference letter cannot be delayed. If you are not comfortable with getting reference letter from your HR at the moment, you can choose statutory declaration (SD) option which is a reference letter written by your colleague, direct reports or supervisor on a non letter headed paper and you have to providing supporting documents like payslip and employment letter...... attached here is also an old sample... please check ACS website for latest guidelines and requirements regarding this. the SD must be notarized at the federal high court or by a notary officer in your vicinity.
3. To whom it may concern is good enough...

All in all, ICT bus analyst is a very competitive NOC, hope you are able to gather 70 points without state nominations
Read through the latest guidelines on ACS website

Please can pension statement of account, tax clearance and bank statement serve in the place of payslip, reason been i cannot get payslip from my previous employer, the only way to get payslip is to have access to the ERP software of which my username and password has been deleted from the system since i resigned about 4 to 5 years ago.
