Even as a fellow United fan like him, I don't like the way he cusses rivals all the time. He needs to tone it down, it's football not war. You can actually troll rivals without bloody insults.

..... Trolling aside; yesterday was the best game Man United have played under the new coach to me...I think Ole is good and although he tinkered one or two times especially after the 30th minute after he brought more numbers into the midfield, marking out Ozil who was our connect, Man United was on top after then.... Their counter football was sweet to watch, very annoying though...and that was due to the freedom Shaw was having on Niles' end of the pitch, that ended in the second half when I believe Emery spoke with him....

...Pogba was treading passes like Beckham, some he didn't even look in the direction of the pass, the one to Fred comes to mind....Pogba is a good player I must say but Ramsey kept him in check yesterday..

.... Honestly, Man United was good yesterday, very good... Amazing we went toe to toe with them and won....Ole lost to a better tactician, nothing more....
...Nice game...#COYG

You're not the only one, it's been gnawing on my heart to tell him to slow down, but I don't want him to insult me on top of a good advice.

When he went on a cussing spree after our victory against PSG, I just knew there's no remedy to the situation. I mean, our team just did the unthinkable, with so much joy and celebration in the air, he still found a way to be raining insults. I was too happy to even troll my friends offline l. I agree with everything though not totally with this. Emery should be considered a better tactician but that wasn't obvious yesterday. At a point, United left a couple of spaces behind that I expected Emery to see and capitalize with Ozil, Auba, Laca and Ramsey on the pitch but nothing. Then I failed to see what Iwobi was introduced to do. Was it a tactical change or to rest a player?

I honestly didn't expect United to be on top for so long in the game. I was expecting to see us defending in numbers and making a couple of counters with Pogba, Lukaku, Rashford. EMery got his tactics right by asking his players to close up shop even at the detriment of the attack.

I don't agree ole lost to a better tactician, we were actually lucky ,the 2 goals shouldn't have happened. The first was a bizzare goal and second wasn't a pk but we stood with them and our keeper was also in the mood.
It's as 50-50 thing and we caught them off guide
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MRTA7: 12:39pm On Mar 11, 2019
Saying Ole lost to a better tactician doesn't make sense.

The game was about moments. We had far more moments and played better. every time we got at arsenal they were all over the place. But their keeper was great on the day and we also had a off day finishing.

DDG and Lindelof also had poor games but how many chances did Arsenal create?

Its pretty much exactly opposite to how we play Arsenal. They would usually dominate and create far more chances but we would be more clinical and our keeper would be great and we would win. So I think its more about the fine margins.

On the same token I dont want to pick on players too much but for Fred had a poor game and I do not believe he will be good enough for what we need. Lukaku missed too many chances even though his overall play eas good. Rashford was not in the game at all and Pogba was not involved enough even though he played some great passes but he was staying too far left which I didn't like.

Fred was great defensively. Really impress me. His energy to win the ball back is amazing. But going forward was where he was really frustrating coz the guy is pretty average in that department. He always seems confused...like should i pass? Should i shoot? Then he ends up losing possession. He must ve lost the ball almost as much as he won it. The guy is still not good enough to be starting. Good squad player and nothing more.

Lukaku's hold up play was great. And that touch to control Pogba's pass. shocked shocked. But in front of goal, he seemed to have reverted back to his pre-OGS days undecided. But for our sake, i hope not.

As for the bolded, i wan talk am but i no want make Martial FC(as i be member of the association grin) come for me. The guy has been average in recent months and just like Sanchez offers nothing to the team. The guy has lost touch. Unlike how he did in his first game against Liverpool, he no longer drives at defenders, make runs behind the defence or shoots. He just hugs the wings, and make crosses that never connect.

The City game has been moved to April 24 coz of FA Cup. Tho i for like make we play City now and get it over with.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Lana1(m): 1:51pm On Mar 11, 2019
Credit to Arsenal but we didn't lose to a better tactician. We lost to Lukaku's misses and De Gea.

We created the better chances but we just couldn't score. The game sef is a direct contrast to our previous matches with them. We are the ones who normally do the scoring and them the misses. But reverse was the case yesterday.

Hopefully they will dust this oft and respond better against Wolves on Saturday.

We were just unlucky yesterday. I guess it was our turn to be unlucky.

As far as I'm concerned, Fred wasn't bad yesterday and shouldn't be the scapegoat. We can't win all the matches, but we can react. I'll like to see how they react next weekend.

I'm ashamed to say this, but I need Lingard back asap. His energy is needed upfront

We spent 3 days celebrating PSG victory and Neva really considered arsenal as a threat. Rashford spent the whole game fooling around and some of us blamed Fred who I feel had a good game aside the pk scenario.
Bottom line; we underated arsenal and paid heavily for it.
bro I'm not sure there was an underating. We've been beating these guys heavily since. No be everyday you go dey beat person na.

..... A proper and smarter winger would have done as you have written in your first paragraph but Auba isn't that player, perhaps Mkhi if he was available yesterday would have been that player. Auba passes didn't really come off yesterday and he lost possession a lot. Laca missed a few chances but he tried but that link up as you said didn't really come off as it did for you guys. Iwobi is a ball carrier, Emery wanted to change perspective yesterday and to bring fresh legs in...

..... Emery did his home work....Ole's football is purely counter attacking....he lets the other team have possession and then he expresses himself... Seeing him yesterday was like Ferguson in the dug out....It was the usual Man United tactics against us....But we defended quite well, after the early scares but Ole changing tactics to a 3 - 5 -2 after the 30th minute or so and making sure his attacking players attack a naive Maitland Niles worked wonders....If it wasn't for Leno, the story would have been different....We became more compact in the second half though, with Niles becoming a different player, that forced Man United to go through the middle and their attacks became easier to deal with.....Like I wrote earlier, Ole lost to a better tactician....I think he needs to learn to set up his team to use possession better other than just waiting to counter....Guardiola is another monster when it comes to tactics...I look forward to see what Ole comes up with by then....

It's as 50-50 thing and we caught them off guide

....Bro, it wasn't luck one bit... Arsenal should have been up in the 2nd minute from a good delivery from Kola if Lacazette had longer legs ....If Auba was smarter with his decisions too and the three wrong offsides against us, I tell you that 30 minutes spell we had in the first half would have been a slaughter..... Arsenal pressed and did exactly what the coach wanted...he forced Man United to try to use possession which they haven't been doing va lot since Ole came in..... Emery has obviously learnt from our last meeting where he played right into Ole's hands

.... Lacazette's misses were up to three yesterday, two should have been buried...Don't let anyone tell you it was luck ... it's not luck that wins you games against the big sides.... Against PSG, was it luck? or Players carrying out the Manager's instructions to the tee.....

... We have used the same approach against Chelsea, Tottenham this season and it worked against Man United.....Once you press your opponents, you tend to force them not to play their Normal game and in order to beat your pressing, they go through channels outside of the initial plan, making it easier to defend against them.....Niles was their alternative route yesterday but everything changed in the second half....

.... Bro, yesterday's win wasn't luck....It was a deliberate set up . ....not even Ole would say it is luck....

Solskjaer counts the cost of formation faux pas
The xG stats suggest Man Utd were unlucky to lose an even contest at the Emirates Stadium in a match that was defined by its opening 20 minutes. The Red Devils were sleep-walking, second to every 50-50 and unable to match the tempo of Arsenal’s football thanks to Unai Emery’s surprisingly attacking line-up.

But the most important reason for the disparity between the two sides was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s use of a 4-4-2.

A 4-4-2 very rarely works against a 3-5-2 because the latter has numerical advantages all over the pitch: a three-on-two in defence, a three-on-two in midfield, and spare wing-backs to support the two-on-two up front.

On Sunday, Man Utd’s shape was so flat that they could not build out from the back, meaning aimless passing towards the strikers as Paul Pogba struggled to make an impact from the left wing.

From a defensive standpoint it was even worse.

Nemanja Matic and Fred had to push onto Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka, which meant Arsenal had a spare man – Mesut Ozil – to drift into the number 10 space. He dominated early proceedings, while Arsenal’s numerical advantage in central midfield led directly to the first goal.

Xhaka had acres of space to shoot because of the mismatch caused by Solskjaer’s formation.

Arsenal Man Utd tactical piece

Brave Emery brings best out of Arsenal
Once Solskjaer switched to a 3-5-2 that mirrored Arsenal’s formation, the game was more evenly matched; Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford began to pull Arsenal’s centre-backs out of position as Pogba took control of midfield.

However, the hosts managed to hold onto their lead – and even extend it – thanks to Emery’s mix of a lower defensive block and attacking substitutions.

Arsenal dropped in for the second 45, inviting their visitors onto them by playing a flat back five and deploying Ramsey slightly deeper alongside Xhaka.

It is rare to see Arsenal backing off on home soil, but sensing Man Utd’s growing influence it proved to be the correct decision. This alone could have led to long periods of pressure from the visitors, but Emery avoided this by keeping three players up front throughout the match and making like-for-like attacking substitutions.

The Gunners' threat on the counter prevented Solskjaer's side from committing huge numbers forward, limiting their goalscoring potential prior to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s 69th-minute penalty.

Emery deserves credit for brave, proactive tactical decisions when Arsenal’s lead looked precarious.
