Have you seen an applicant that was refused after medicals that was based on medical request and not upfront medical?

Yes I have seen over five (5) applicants in and outside of this window from last year ending until now that were instructed to undertake a medical exam and was refused after been updated as passed.

PS: I would best suggest you keep all hope alive as cases differs.

Yes boss i did...nothing yet oh. I was getting too paranoid that was why i decided to msg you. It's almost a month after medicals

Let's keep hope alive. Everything can get sorted out before the week runs out. I applied December 12 and it's getting to a month now too after medicals with no update.

Please what were the reasons?

Majority of them were refused with insubstantial reasons based on their
1)TRAVEL HISTORY &
2)PURPOSE OF VISIT.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by DMerciful(m): 6:30pm On Mar 12, 2019
Are they checking for substantial travel history? Purpose of visit? Post degree studying should be enough purpose right?

The form should be filled this way;

Tuition = 18,000$CAD
Room and Board = 10,000$CAD
Others = 3,000$CAD

Funds available for my stay = 31,000$CAD
could that mistake be a reason for rejection.

Thank you chief.

Frankrobbn1:

This is actually not a problem. It happens occasionally.

Send the E-MEDICAL SLIP the second time to Kenya (Nairobi) Immigration department via this email: nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca

The subject of the mail should bear URGENT, along side her FULL NAME, UCI NUMBER, APPLICATION NUMBER AND DATE OF BIRTH.

Also take advantage of THE NAIROBI WEBFORM

You should state in the mail that the applicant has already completed her medicals and attached is her E-medical slip. You would request that her medical result be appended with her application and updated on her MyCIC account within the shortest possible timeframe. Lastly, thank them for the success so far in the applicants application.

You don't need the local tracking number. To keep track with the progress of your application you are required to login to your online MyCIC account.

Thanks for the prompt response.

Hi Frankrobbn1

So i was essentially asking what would be the best spread to have between one's cost of study and one's available funds. For instance, if my total cost of study is $20k, should my available funds be $25k or $30k or $40k? What margin of difference should i leave between the two?

P.S. Thanks for seeing my DM cheesy

Frankrobbn1:

I don't quite catch that.

Funds available for your stay is the total sum of your tuition + room and board + other (miscellaneous expenses).

Cost of living is meant to be 10,000CAD and 11,000CAD for applicants heading to Quebec as stated on IRCC offical website.

I hope this answers your question? I saw your PM, I will respond soon.

The Canadian visa officer is particularly checking for travel history outside of your home country in developed countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Schengen/Europe. If the applicant has shown short travels for tourism to those areas, that is one factor that adds a plus in the visa officer assessment that the applicant will likely depart Canada after authorized stay.

It's also important to note that travel history is a generic reason for a visa refusal. It’s very possible to be granted a TRV without a travel history. However, the applicant must demonstrate adequate ties through other factors like ownership of properties/cash in fixed deposit, spouse, kids etc.. that can compel their return back home.

Travelling to Canada for a post degree isn't enough reason to ascertain your purpose of visit to Canada. Purpose of Visit can be from the correlation between your intended program with your previous studies and job role. Periodically, poorly written and vague SOP can also constitute to the reason for a visa refusal as it also falls under this category.

Yes it can be a reason for a refusal only when the presented bank statement with your application can't cater for the stated funds in the application form. Have you submitted already? If yes, believe things will work out for your good because there is never a perfect application.

Now I understand better. The margin difference can be between 2KCAD-5KCAD.

It's musn't necessarily be a credit card. You can make use of your Naira Master card to complete international payment.

You can do a transfer or pay at the bank sef. Make sure you go with receipt of payment. They should have sent you their bank details when they confirmed your appointment.
