Hey guys. First time writing on this forum. I have a few questions please.

I just got back from the UK a week ago to begin my tier 4 process. I have 3m in my account and about 5m in my dad's account. I've paid the deposit and what I need for maintenance and fees is about 7.5m. The issue is my dad's name on his account is Stevens but on my birth certificate is Stephens. I've always used the latter in my applications and I feel they might check. Most of his documents now carry Stevens and I'm thinking he needs to change his bank account name. I'm sure he would want to change it back after the process is over. Does anyone have any idea how many times one can change a bank's name or do avidavit to record this change? Or can he just get me a bank draft? I'm supposed to apply next week.

NB: He wanted to add me to his account but bank only allowed signatory meaning my name won't show on the account which won't work.

Hi all,
I'm planning on applying for tier4 visa with my family. I'm not based in either Abuja or Lagos so I'm planning to have the tb test as well as the visa interview at the same location
and around the same time. Has anyone done this before? Would appreciate if you could
kindly share any tips as well as your experience.

Thanks

thanks a lot for your suggestions. I'm looking as well for a room in central London and I was wondering about the best websites to use.

I used in the past airbnb a lot for short periods but I need something for longer.

Have you heard of https://roomclub.com ? because I need to book something in advance and they offered me this possibility.

otherwise any other website where I do not need to be in London in order to book an accommodation?

I'm really confused about what to do considering the several options that there are at the moment on Internet.

and what type of contracts there are in London for renting a room?

thanks a lot for your help.

Hi there, I've never heard about https://roomclub.com, but I have also the same problem. I will try to search there or in Spareroom. I wish you all the best.

If you are applying next week use an affidavit.
There is no limit to you getting one if you genuinely need it with proof.

OPTION 1:
Choose the location that's most convenient and travel there, yes you can do your TB Test same week with your UKVI interview because you will get result in few hours if it comes out Negative, then proceed to submit application and pick the next available date which most times is 2 or 3 days later.
And attend your interview.

OPTION 2:

Submit your application and pick the next available date which might be 2 or 3 days later, Travel to the location , do your TB test the next day.
Then attend your interview days later.

Hi Zoey1. Are you in the UK already?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Determinedsoul: 1:40pm On Mar 08, 2019
Zoey1:
Every Visa application is accessed individually, even if you had been denied UK Visa previously. It does not stop you getting at another time as long as you never had fake document submitted previously, misrepresentation etc.
If this travel is to boost your chance of getting your student visa ,I will advice you don't , focus on getting the study visa,if its for genuine visit you can sure go ahead.
Stay positive.
People have come here to say they been denied UK, US and Canada and still got UK study visa.
N.B
If your refusal has nothing to do with misrepresentation, terrorism , offences. No it won't affect you.

Tnx dr

They are not convinced on your first interview hence the request for a second interview. Prep yourself and be confident in your response. Success.

Much as its not everyone that gets a 2nd interview, its not out of place if they need further clarity.
Relax and give the best answers you can.
Success!

Hello fam,

I was offered an conditional admission for masters program starting September in the Royal Holloway University of London. The campus is at Egham. I was told to pay €3000 as deposit before they issue me CAS number. Please, gurus in the house, what does conditional admission mean. I don't really understand. Can someone help me elaborate more on this. And secondly, is the University environments okay generally in terms of working while studying.
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Zoey1: 4:54pm On Mar 11, 2019
1. Conditional Admissions means there are conditions attached to the offer you got.
In your case you have to pay £3000 ,when you do and there is other thing attached, you get an Unconditional Offer.
Each University differs.
Do a virtual tour of your Uni on their website.
Talk to current students, some school give prospective students that access and see if you like it.

Good day all.
Please I have been offered a full scholarship @University of Liverpool, UK.
I want to inquire if it's better to stay in the campus hostel or outside the school.
I am looking at cost.
Thank you.
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Nobody: 10:53pm On Mar 12, 2019
It depends are you a postgraduate or undergraduate? What Course?
I would advise that you apply for University accommodation if you are in your first year or a postgraduate. Its easier and safer because you would be living with fellow students. Also the halls come with wi-fi and all utility bills. Vine Court which is close to the Management School is catered you get breakfast and Lunch which reduces the stress of cooking.

Outside the school is far cheaper than school accommodation.

I know Liverpool very well. Most of the student houses are about 2-3 miles away from campus. So factor transportation into that accommodation you think is cheap. Besides not all privately rented accommodation comes with utility bills. For my first year and postgrad I lived in University Halls and it worked out perfectly for me especially as an international student.

What sort of advice is that? He is talking about cost nd you are encouraging him to stay in the university accomodation. That's not fair. Lets be realistic, school accomodation could cost over 700 quid or more..meanwhile he can get a studio or shared accomodation for like 350 or 400 quid.

Thank you for your reply friends.
Actually, its for my masters degree.
MSc Project Management.
The school accommodation cost list seems terrible.
I need a candid opinion
Thank you.

Alternatively, will I be able to share a room with someone in the school accommodation to lessen cost?

You were told.
You have/had the opportunity to ask the person(s) who told you.
You refused to ask them.
You come to Nairaland to ask people who may not know exactly what YOUR school requires

It is called personal advice. I give advice from personal experience and its up to the poster to choose what suits him/her best.
1st year I stayed in the University halls of residence, 2nd year I had made friends so it was easy to rent a house with 3 other friends. For my final year I opted to have my own space and rented a studio apartment. My family and friends could come over and stay with me without qualms. During my postgrad I chose a self catered room in the University halls of residence. All my preferences were cost effective at the time.
