You have to submit it alongside your passport!, you don't need an email telling you to submit proof of funds, at least in my friend's case she was supposed to submit it alongside her passport even though they didn't mention it in the mail!.

So she submitted only her passport, hoping to get the visa but no. The proof of funds was still requested!.

Abeg I need Una input on something.
I went to my school to collect language of instruction, and they said I must address it to an institution. So, I figured since most of the schools I'm applying to will go through uni-assist, I used their address there.
So, my questions are:
1) Is this the proper way to do it?
2) Can I use same language of instruction document to apply to other schools that don't require uni-assist application?

Ps. I've read the part 5 of this thread, and all talk is about letter of English proficiency. This is addressed to someone that has an idea about using language of instruction.

Ideally, it should be addressed "To whom it may concern". But if your school insists on an address, then use any of the schools you are applying to. You should be able to use it to apply to other schools too.
As dailydolar said, the address doesn't matter.

If you don't feel too safe with this, then give your school all the schools addresses let them issue a letter for each of them

All those schools I listed have bachelors in life science programs but the MAJOR issue with BSc in life sciences is that they are MOSTLY (not all) taught in German. You'll need up to B2 level before you're admitted. You'll need to search very well to find English taught BSc in Life sciences. If I stumble on any, I'll share.

Hello house,

I certified 5 different applications at the German Embassy. All applications are going to Uniassist. So I plan to reprint the application pages of four and attach to a single one which has the same documents certified. Since Uniassist only needs one set of certified documents. i did so because i would still need the certified documents for some applications that will open in April/may.
Anyone here done same before?
Also, please can you recommend which of the DHL centres I can get discount for sending my docs and the price range?
Thanks.

I understand and appreciate the wisdom you applied here, But on the certification notice, the name of the school you're applying to is written.. how do you intend to remove that when you send to other schools?

Addressing to each school is not an option. They said I will have to pay for each document.

Hi bro,

Pregnancy is a blessing from God. so first, accept my heartfelt congratulations. now to the real challenge. If I may get you right, both you and your wife studied the same course and would like to proceed to Germany to study together and start a new life. well, Its a good choice if you ask me but the financial implication would likely cut off your pocket when you finally find yourself here. I don´t know your age but obviously, your wife and new born baby will be on a Gesetzliche Familien krankenversicherung (Public Family Insurance). A single guy/girl below 30 years old pays an average of 90€ monthly (over 38k Naira) and this COMPULSORY in Germany. This mean as a family, you guys would likely be placed on the Public family health insurance which could cost as much as 300€ (over 120k naira) every month. So, lets assume you´re over 30, you could still get insured on Private health insurance which is very cheap Around 30€ (12k monthly) but your kid and wife would be on a public insurance. The difference between Private and Public is the fact that If you attend any clinic or hospital for treatment, you pay direct cash and the Private Insurance pays you back after submission of treatment and payment receipt, but for Public Insurance, you don´t pay any dime. Just submit your card and the rest will be sorted between the hospital and the Insurance coy.

Secondly, Its risky coming with SL. reason is because you ain´t gonna start wokring Imediately you get to Germany. So, the moment anyone offers to sponsor you, then he´s saddled with every financial responsibilty accrued to you. So if your wife comes and deliver a baby, mehn, that Guy/lady don enter one chance. He/she has to take care of the family because he has signed a Letter of Declaration of support. and If he erred, his permanent residency could be revoked. Also, as a married man, I wouldn´t advice you to use SL. Since you´ll be enjoying full benefits of the insurance and other stuffs, I´d advice you and your wife to fund with blocked account so you can settle well into the system. I know it´s not easy but trust me, you´ll understand the importance of this when your finally arrive here.

Also, If you decide to use SL alone, You´ll still have to come to DE with at least 3k. The first couple of months, You´ll pay Semester fees, House rent, Kaution, Insurance, Feeding and other valaubles. The three most important payment monthly in Germany is House rent, Insurance and Feeding. So imagine spending at least 400-450 monthly for 3 months prior to getting a job.

Secondly, Your wife can go for her interview In as much the Pregnancy is not visible. With my calculation, You´re going for winter and not summer. This mean your wife will be heavily pregnant hence, it´ll limit her chances of coming for studies cos she´ll be in her Tri-Semester and this means less/reduced stress for her usw.

So much to explain but here´s my opinion and advice.

Channel all your energy to come here first (If your body fit hold am smiley ). By next year, your wedding will be 2 years according to you. Submit your wedding certificate with your child birth certificate during your interview. When you get to DE, work and study and ensure to make a certain threshold. Apply for family reunion and your wife will join you with your baby. If the family reunion visa is granted, your wife would be able to work 24/7 because her visa is a Family reunion visa (§ 29 AufenthG Familiennachzug) while yours is different because you´re on student residency permit (aufenthaltsgenehmigung § 16) with 120 full days or 240 Half days to work. Remember when your family is here, You´ll need a 3 bedroom flat for yourself.. A room must be set aside for each child except they are of the same sex.. You´ll have to feed them, clothes them, and do some shopping.. Bro, you´ll be spending close to 1200€ monthly. and this is an outrageous amount for a student here in DE.

I hope I´ve been able to pass some message across and you can understand me better.

Phew, I have typed so much. This post will go a long way to guide anyone who plans to come with family/pregnancy.

Wishing everyone success in their Pursuit.

Mehnn.. see analysis.. Nna you are jagaban. Infact you are the bomb. Gonna pm you when I am ready for AL.

More grace mein bruder!

Yes, the name of the school for each certification is written at the back. Since the schools are only interested in my documents being certified, I intend to do a cover letter for every application sent telling the schools that although this certification was done for other schools, i had changed my mind and I am applying to theirs.
I don't think they should should have an issue with the name of the school written on it, since my documents are the same and have been certified by the embassy.
I would not have the time to leave work and go certify documents again.

Good morning house. Pls am kinda confused but need ur opinion on this pls
I got admission this summer to greifswald and have gone for interview.. i planned using SL but was disappointed by my aunt and have no means for raising the BA fund..so after my interview I gave up my quest for Deutschland..and started processing and have even paid for another migration package (Canada) thinking I will be given a conditional AM . Then monday to be precise i got AM without funding or BA and no condition attached that I should send my passport and insurance to d embassy and specify my date of travel..first I was sceptical but my agent handling my recent migration package told me to get the visa since i have a virgin passport and travel for enrolment at the school, then I should come back and continue my biometrics for my new migration plan..he said if I book early I might not spend more than 450k , since my enrolment ends 29th March.. so he suggested going to Germany for my enrolment with a return ticket will boost my on going application (so as to hv a travel history)...however, I have sent my passport & insurance to d embassy awaiting their stamping...i have b4 my interview applied to several schools for winter 2019 (Godforbid, just incase the new migration plan flops) and hv even gotten an admission from one of the schools for winter
..the issue is I really need the opinion of the house about my current predicament ..should i travel to Germany to acknowledge my "to be"stamped visa and how much it might cost to spend a week there for my enrolment and flight ticket (return ticket, if it's cheaper)..cos if my new plan flops, I will still resort to Germany again during winter, So I wouldn't wana go and jam paulinus for another interview this winter..thanks for ur kind opinion

You are really lucky bro.. Not all gets this kinda luck. My advice..; face Germany, leave Canada. Try to look for cash that can sustain. You might not see a good reason to pursue Germany now but in future you will find out that life in Germany is in a way different from Canada..

Ps: BA or SL is still important..

When I was applying to Aachen, I was told to upload my course description. I really dont know what they mean by this course description. Other universities didn't ask of such confusing task.

see below.
Please upload either your module catalog or, alternatively, copy and paste the link to the module catalog on a blank sheet and upload this. Keep in mind that you will have to provide an adequate description of the course content of the modules that are relevant for admission, for example a module guide. The module descriptions must include the credit points earned as well as the course load in semester week hours. If you do not have access to a module catalog or module guide (e.g. in the case of “Diplom” or “Magister” degree programs), please upload comparable documentation (e.g. course catalogs or a letter from your previous university confirming the equivalence of course content with regard to current Bachelor's and Master's Degree Programs). It is important that the course content is sufficiently specified and substantiated. For further questions please contact the responsible departmental academic advisor (www.rwth-aachen.de/fachstudienberatung).

your undergraduate course handbook will serve. That is what they are requesting for. in some schools the handbook is found on the departmental online page but if not so in your school look for your course handbook, where all the course with description and credit hour even the course coordinators of the course you took are all listed out. if you dont have it handy please visit your department and request for one then you can scan and upload to them. i hope this helps
