Good morning nairalanders! Knowing that the Bible is not the scriptures, but a collection of the scriptures. Now, Looking at some Bible passages; example: Between 1 Cor. 14:35 & 36, they seem to be some missing sentence(s), because both do not agree in sequence. Moreso, I have heard people say that THE SEVEN BOOKS OF MOSES is part of the Bible. Also I have come across some Bibles with other books which contain real and more indebt Bible stories like the book of TABITHA e.t.c. I can also recall of a certain time we heard that a new scroll had been found. Whether we may want to believe it or nay, some verses in the Bible SEEM contradictory which is a major reason we have herd of DENOMINATIONS everywhere(Bunch of christians that do not agree yet use the same BIBLE). It's just a thought that has been hitting me for a while now; what if they were actually missing scriptures, could they not be an answer to explain seemly-contradictory verses and end christian contention? #Note: Not concluding, just inquisitive.

There are so many books of the Bible that where scrapped out. Originally the books of the Bible were more than the 66 books we have today.

Some books of the Bible talks more about war especially the life of GIDEON, the early Christian clerics look at the teaching from part of Bibles like that to cause war if they will continue teaching them. So, the edited and removed some parts. If the Bible should take total account of what happened during the life time of Jesus christ alone without the old testament, how many thousands of pages will the Bible be??

Read Babylon mystery religion.

Wow! Thanks! But that would have solved some Bible misinterpretations, don't you think?

Paul mentioned an epistle to the Laodiceans in the bible. Jude also mentioned something about Michael and Moses' body that were not recorded in any book in the old testament. Also, he talked about the prophecy of Enoch. These things must have been in some books that are not part of the bible.

all the books exist but not all are inspired to be part of the scriptures, they are removed but still exist, you can check them online. Is not like Qur'an that some books were collected and the rest burned.
.
second the Bible is complete nothing is missing is only we that don't actually understand it. All that God wanted us to know are written except the secret things
Deuteronomy 29:29 KJV
The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
.
Another thing I want you to know is Christian differ because, we have different Spiritual gift, talent, understanding, some people are babies some are matured and you don't expect them to behave the same, some operate mostly base on the law some grace while some both the law and grace. Romans say something about this differences between the week and the strong.
Romans 14:1-8 KJV
Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. [2] For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. [3] Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. [4] Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. [5] One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike . Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. [6] He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it . He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. [7] For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. [8] For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
.
another differences is the local church roles, we all know in every service we do praised, worshiped, offered, announced and sometimes Thanksgiving/ testimony, the order and the timing differ from church to church
.
sometimes the differences comes from agreement, the Bible say
Matthew 16:19 KJV
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
one church agree on one thing another church on another but God accepted and approved them all

true

Now, Looking at some Bible passages; example: Between 1 Cor. 14:15 & 16, they seem to be some missing in sentence(s) because both do not agree in sequence

They do agree in sequence, if you do not understand ask questions.
1 Cor 14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
1 cor 14:16 Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit,(in otherwords, when you are used by the spirit) how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned(in otherwords, someone who is not learned to understand you gift of the spirit) say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?

Sometimes the logic of certain scriptures can be complex but that doesnt mean they are not making sense.
If you can follow the logic carefully, you will see the sense.

Verse 16 simply implies that because someone who is not learned in the spirit may not understand another person who speaks in the spirit, there is need for that person to interprette what he is saying in the spirit to the understanding of the common man language for everyone to understand.

I dont think there is anything hard there to understand

Moreso, I have heard people say that THE SEVEN BOOKS OF MOSES is part of the Bible. Also I have come across some Bibles with other books which contain real and more indebt Bible stories like the book of TABITHA e.t.c. I can also recall of a certain time we heard that a new scroll had been found.
if all these books are found and eventually infused in the bible it will still not change the basic fundamentals or idea the bible comes with.
Its like someone is winning election with 1000 votes and his opponent is having 300 votes, if there were 150 voided votes of the opponent and the election body decides to validate the 150 voided votes they will still not stop the man with 1000 votes from winning the election.

Whether we may want to believe it or nay, some verses in the Bible SEEMs contradictory
no!
I am saying this because i have read Genesis to revelation back to back several times and subject everything to logical reasoning, THERE IS NO ATOM OF CONTRADICTION.
not even one.

which is a major reason we have herd of DENOMINATIONS everywhere(Bunch of christians that do not agree yet use the same BIBLE)
the several denominations arises as a result of the different ways people can understand the bible, not that the bible is saying one thing and another thing at the same time .
If you ask bishop oyedepo how he understands john 3:16, he will give you a different perspective from how pastor adeboye understands it,It is as a result of variation in the human brain.
But meanwhile, john 3:16 will have a different message from the understanding of these men it will supprise you.

It's just a thought that has been hitting me for a while now; what if they were actually missing scriptures, could they not be an answer to explain seemly-contradictory verses and end christian contention? #Note: Not concluding, just inquisitive.
there is nothing like contraction my brother, it is human inability to understand simple logic

Under the new covenant, it is only the HOLY SPIRIT and not the HOLY BIBLE that is to lead us in the TRUTH. John 14:26,16:13, Hebrews 8:10-11 etc. But however because of the INFINITE WISDOM OF GOD, THE BEGINNING END, He deem it fit to document some inspirations (THE HOLY BIBLE) that will act as a guide line for all Christians and also as a circumference that all who name the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOR CAN PROPERLY FIT IN.
Whether the recognize 66 books or the Apocryphas the key note of all should be if they recognize JESUS CHRIST AS LORD, GOD, SON, SPIRIT AND THE MESSIAH. If any of them disapprove the LORD JESUS CHRIST in respect to these personalities such book should be FORBIDDEN.
I have read the BOOK OF ENOCH and I must say it is a GOOD READ because it acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ in regards to the qualities stated above and same with other books that are termed apocryphas.
There are many information that was purposely not included in the 66 books because the ones already documented for us is enough, especially the works and deeds of the Lord Jesus Christ. John 20:30-31
Also, there are "seeming contradictions" in the Bible but when you study with the Mind and leading of the Holy Spirit you will find out that from Genesis to Revelation is and has always been a smooth path and it can be clearly studied and understood without any iota of doubt.
We should pray for more revelations of the grace, knowledge and understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I BELIEVE IN THE LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST AND HIM ALONE IS THE PERFECT WAY, TRUTH AND LIFE.
GOD BLESS US.

God bless you too bro.
When I come across this "seeming contradictions" when studying, I pause and begin to ask God questions, it might take immediately to unravel that contradiction, days, weeks or few months, but I thank God for His Mercy, Grace and Love for all the answers given to me by His Holy Spirit. In conquering "seeming contradictions" have this plainly in mind...... LET GOD BE TRUE AND EVERY MAN BE A LIAR. Romans 3:4.
The Written Word of God is TRUE and all contradictions, wisdom, knowledge or understanding that are meant to counter attack it are LIARS.

Also book of Esdras. It is such a beautiful book. I don't understand why it was excluded.

Here is what it says about Jesus Christ. (note that this is an old testament book):

28 My son the Messiah will be revealed, together with those who come with him. He will bring four hundred years of happiness to all these survivors. 29 At the end of that time, my son the Messiah and all human beings will die. 30 Then the world will return to its original silence, and for seven days it will be like it was at the beginning. No one will be left alive. 31 After seven days this corrupt age will pass out of existence and a new age will be awakened. 32 The ground will give up the dead who sleep there in silence, and the souls of the dead will be released from the places where they have been kept. 33 God Most High will appear on his judgment seat. Mercy and patience will vanish completely 34 and be replaced by judgment. Truth and faithfulness will once again stand firm.

Bible is far from complete. Some stories you know as a child are entirely fabricated. Like the story of a prostitute and stoning issues and many more.

Do ur research, do not accept many postulating that the problem is your lack of understanding. Your brain is for a purpose
