Good day house. I have been offered admission into the university and also shortlisted for Nigeria Air Force (recruit)
Please I am really confused on which to pick. I have done registration for my school and I really don't want to miss this opportunity of job. Please your advice and criticism is welcome.

Shortlist is not a guarantee of employment. So still continue with you school program for the meantime. Meanwhile if it ends up you are employed, I will advise you to take the job. You can change your study to part-time.
Lots of graduates are looking for even common N-power. So the air force job will be a good opportunity for you.

The air force is preferable imo. You can always be released to further your education in the air force unlike the army.
Besides that, you have absolute job security.

But small small lie sha. airforce recruitment selection is not yet out . They are still in screening stages

That job will not wait for you so i advice you take it and you can proceed to further your accademics while you are alraedy working as an air force officer. Moreso, what guarantee do you have that you are going to get a job immediately after NYSC?

There are two different sectors, Commissioned those that got employed with their degrees/master Degree, their pay is okay about 160k for Freshers, and the Non-commisioned the one the OP is trying to do, he only needs his SSCE, about 30-35k for Freshers.

The OP should look at the kind of course he got, if its very lucrative, he should forget about Air Force, and be very prayerful. He can still apply for short service of 'Commisioned' after attaining his degree.

This is too early for you, you’re yet to be screened and even write the exams and pass to the next level. Pass all these first and come back for advice when you’re shortlisted for training.

Thank you

Lol the biggest lie ever told is "Education is the key". Key to wetin? grin grin grin.

On a more serious note, I think you should go for the Nigeria Air Force. It's a really great opportunity plus they pay well. You can have an amazing career in the AirForce than sitting in one boring class from morning till night with even lecturers frustrating your effort undecided.
I swear if I could turn back the hands of clock, instead of me to be in the University, na Nigeria Air force I for just dey sef with their impeccable uniform smiley.

Op, lastly pray about it. Don't let anyone pressure you to do what you don't want to do.

But bro, what is the assurance of getting that Air Force job in about 5,207 shortlisted candidates?

Please go and study. The only thing you can do out school is business. Airforce is a great service, are you ready. You can still apply to Airforce as an officer after graduation. My opinion
Re: University Admission Offer Vs Nigeria Air Force Recruitment Offer by nelronaldo(m): 7:59pm On Mar 16, 2019
OP. Please go to school. You can try to join the Airforce again after your tertiary education. You will be lucky if you can go to the University when you join the force as a recruit.
They will frustrate you with day and night duty, you won't have time for tertiary education.

WHICH COURSE WERE YOU OFFERED IN THE UNIVERSITY?

Good question!!!! If its MBBS or Pharmacy better go to school.
But if its public admin and his brothers please run and go for the JoB. Imagine how hard it is now to get a job, then imagine how it will be when you graduate. Every minute people are graduating even with good grade.

questions u need to ask urself before taking a decision are:
1) can i still further my studies if i am in the airforce
2) if i take the university admission, is the finance there to further my education

ask yourself tese and other questions before taking a final decision

Forget that RECRUIT of a thing and enter university, I believe that better day is ahead of you. Since it's not an NDA admission just forget it, you will be subjected to suffering as a recruit.
