Dominique, this clearly contradicts whatever this man is saying.
I remember telling him he'll get his money as soon as my client gives me feedback. Which my client has never done to this day, and he agreed. So I should go ahead and pay him without hearing from my client or anything?

Thank you

You are referring to what happened days after i delivered your work but here is what you said before I began the work. This is main agreement we had.

Now this is funny... Main agreement? Mehn, this is tiring...
How long do I keep compensating mediocrity...
Dominique, I'll settle this folks next week.
At anytime of my jurisdiction, so this matter is put off once and for all.
NB/I'm NOT paying any full amount...
I've already been at a loss here, by paying and receiving nothing myself...

What are you referring to as mediocrity?

I know you lack manners but I won't waste my time trying to put you right. You were so happy with the book I wrote and so was your so-called client. So where is the place of mediocrity in the work I did for you? What a man! You are so uncultured and mannerless. You refer to people with whatever term you choose once you have their money.

again, I never called you mediocre. You're a BADASS writer, agreed.
But you should know how the freelance world goes.

Following you point here, perhaps I didn't know how the "freelance world" works and was supposed to be told that it was also a consideration for the job I was about to start, which you didn't do.

Maybe I didn't know that "it was not easy" because I never registered on a freelancing platform to get jobs and do myself, and was only interested in doing your job and getting paid in line with the agreement I had with you.

Now, you didn't inform me that the "freelance world" can alter your agreement with me or even try to make any reference to a third part whom you consider a factor in the contract. Now you are reneging on your agreement on the basis of what you never bothered to disclose.

All I ask for is my money. If you will kindly send that to me, I'll thank you, nevertheless.

Oh yes you do. I wrote a 6250-word ebook for you and you said the client mentioned that it wasn’t what he was looking for despite not giving me an outline. You said the client needed something more specific. You were meant to pay N9,375 for it but you ended up paying a paltry N3,000. I blocked you immediately because I couldn’t deal with your sheer stupidity.

I did pay him...
And I DON'T discard writers..
I have tons and tons and tons of work, and I can't handle all.
All my writers are Intact.. I was even thinking of creating a group for all my writes, so I just drop a project there, and anyone who sees it and is up to the task, execute the project...
I paid him a part of the money. Something, I never do, until the client replies... And reviews. But I felt he was a good writer, and needed to have an Amount paid.
Check the screenshot... I'm tired of this back and forth madam.

The purpose of this thread and the campaign against fraudulent clients is slowly been defeated. After all this is Nigeria ; everything goes. And, realizing that everybody here is literally a Cyber Ghost only makes the campaign more Futile.

The internet is a Jungle.

I will advice writers to stop writing for people they don't know in person.

And, NL moderators should also find ways of linking accounts here to Facebook accounts, so that NL'ders won't be Faceless.

Benscolari cannot cough out atleast the sum of N25,000 to settle three people! Wow! Someone that have been working for foreign Clients ; and these foreign clients sometimes give him tips of $100 ( something he personally told me).
I understand people like him, perfectly.

When I started the campaign against fraudsters ; some people probably had doubts I guess... But as time passed, things are getting clearer and clearer.

I want to thank everybody that took their precious time to comment, investigate, follow and made sacrificial efforts to bring Justice.

I want to personally thank @ LoJ ; who has never been to Nigeria, and wasn't compelled in anyway to see things through ; but stuck out his/her neck and in the process got verbally insulted several times. Thank you @LoJ.

I want to thank the creator of this Thread. He is very enthusiastic about this campaign to rid NL of fraudsters or at least reduce their activities.

@dominique... Thank you very much! You should be the Chief Justice of Nigeria. You are very smart and you have a gift for inferring the 'Truth'. You didn't relent throughout yesterday , and seeing you still commenting about the matter this morning, marveled me.

If Benscolari refuses to pay me... I forgive him.

Anyways, I particularly asked you to message me on whatsapp, but your strong-headed self refused to. Don't include me in this matter again..
I AM NOT FRAUDULENT, OR ANYTHING CLOSE TO THAT, AND REWARD GREAT WRITERS (I TIP THEM, WHEN THEY PERFORM ABOVE EXPECTATIONS).

Despite accusations from four different people and counting and you want us to remove it and forget it ever happened? You don't want a stain on your reputation yet you're using a foreign female freelancer account to solicit for jobs from unsuspecting foreign clients, is that not a type of fraud on it's own? There may have been times when you kept to agreement and paid your clients in full, but that doesn't change the fact that that you cheat majority of them of their entitlements. You may have a reputation to protect on other platform but as far as this forum is concerned, you are one to be dealt with with severe caution.

Oga, if you have any iota of shame and good morals, then you won't type any idiotic bullshit and offer an apology. These writers you have tried to fleece off their hard work and energy, have made accusations which are backed by clear evidence, but you seem to be deluding yourself that you have a reputation, but you are a cesspit of deception.

My anger is with you because I have encountered scammers of your ilk severally, who exploit other writers on this platform, and can't seem to stick to common agreement and contractual terms. Shame on you!

I took out time to read every comment made here. Find below my humble opinion.

1. @Benscolari or whatever you are called. I can relate to everything you said, however, you are to be blamed for being in business and not knowing how a business should be run. This thread will not be closed for any reason because you have not handled yourself well. A business is a risky adventure. Being a dynamic one, you adopt the agile method of business management. It's not a new thing that some persons delivery poor services but you're not open to the people that work with you. This is the reason you keep hiring new writers. Even if you have successfully worked with over 30, common sense should tell you that a day like this will come. You have been in business and you should be ready take a risk of 50k. You are above it and you can't always be right because situations like this are not linear. You don't expect people who are not into what you're doing to understand the situation. They will always make judgement from what is visible to them.

Without being insulting, Benscolari, you are not a good person. I once had a bad experience with a writer here, I took the risk and paid him because I do not have the strength to be making all these arguments on here. But what did I do afterward? I stopped taking more works than I can execute. It's a painful one, however, you have to do it if you want to protect your reputation. It's very easy to tarnish an image, and you have aided yours.

More and more persons are coming up to share bad review about you. Their reviews shouldn't be washed under the carpet. Bro, you have the money, pay them their complete money. This is what you signed for when you accepted to take more works than you can handle.

Lastly, you have to start doing things right. Your rating on here is very low.

2. @Dominique, I appreciate your intervention on this case. However, outsourcing a work is not something new. Look up this section, it is a subsection of the literature section, clearly described as 'writers for hire'. I am shocked that 'outsourcing a job seems to be new to you.' It's not a bad thing and many freelancers do it. I have a lady I met on nairaland sometime 2017, we have worked together for about a year and 7 months with no issue. I outsource some of my works to her and she just left the country for North Cyprus for her masters.

Having said that, you must put yourself also in Benscolari's position. I have experienced that few times before I stopped searching and took only works my small team can do. Let me share an experience with you. I contacted this guy on nairaland and we agreed on a price and time. He was to deliver on Thursday. On Wednesday, he requested for extension of delivery time to deliver on Saturday. On Saturday, he requested to deliver on Sunday and if he fails, I am free to look for someone else. On Sunday, he failed and promised to unfailingly deliver on Monday. On Monday, same story. So I told him that I am done with him. He started begging and that he has gone far with the work and he is done already. That he will deliver before 12pm Tuesday. I agreed. By 12pm, he promised 2pm, 2pm he promised 4pm. By 4pm, he sent a work that has not been passed through a plagiarism checker. I knew this after he sent the work and I asked if he checked for plagiarism which he confirmed to have to done. About 15 minutes past 5, as I already formatted the work to Kindle and was about to deliver, he sent a mail that I should hold on a while. His reason was that the entire document is yet to be passed through grammarly. I felt used and told him it's over. I almost submitted a work that will get my account banned for plagiarism issues. That was when the guy called me a scammer. I just smiled and forgot about him.

This is not the first time you're being accused of hiring writers without paying them, that's a call for concern. You've hired over 30 writers here, how come nine has given positive feedback about you?

You accused one of your accusers of submitting an inferior work hence you refused to pay him, can you kindly post a sample of this work so we can judge?

Lastly, do you pay all the people you hired their entitlements according to agreement? Yes or No?

He scammed me just on Saturday. I remember adding him a while ago (like I added a few other good people from the writers thread), he contacted me begging to help him work on a book on etiquette in Europe.

After working, he refused to pay and insulted me non-stop. Sent a fake screenshot and has stopped picking my calls.

His name is Hope Daniels from Montreal on Upwork. I played a fast one on him by posting the job I wrote on my blog. The client whom he wrote it for can no longer use the job.

I am not surprised. My PayPal account was limited due to high influx of funds. Despite this guy's transaction being among the transactions that caused it to be limited, I asked him to help me get more details of the transaction from his/her client, he never did.

He stopped responding to my texts even as I write. He is a male posing as female. Even during our chats, he never corrected me despite my referring to him as "sis"

Other people whom I transacted with even went as far as sharing their freelance earnings and withdrawals to help me.

I finally resolved the issue in less than 24 hours because all the info I used to open the account was genuine and i gave them proof.
