Haba. Start another master program?
PhD will be preferable.
You don't keep on rotating in one angle. You enter the next level.

Moreover, I am learning Deutsch with Duolingo and its really amazing.
Once I come here, I will channel over 60 percent of my energy to learning Deutsch and before I finish my MSc, I will be very fluent in it.
Another aspect is to work really hard academically and be among the best graduates with very high GP.
So that your GP coupled with your fluency in Deutsch will make you move mountain and even attract white Germans towards you for impregnation

E get bro. It can be PhD-grade or not. If you have a PhD-grade, you are eligible to apply for a PhD. If it's not in a PhD grade, you'll probably go for MPhil, then continue to PhD.
That's how it's done in Nigeria, and I guess by extension in other countries.

Hi everyone,

I need your advice. Since Friday last week (15th March, 2019), I sent an email to The German embassy in Lagos with regards to applying for a student visa appointment as instructed on there website.

As expected, I wrote my full names and residential address in the body of the email and attached;

1. The Data page of my int'l passport

2. My University Admission Letter (Kiel University- Summer Semester 2019- Masters in Quantitative Finance)

3. My Fintiba Blocked account details, though not yet funded as at the time of sending the email.

Since then, I haven't gotten a reply from the embassy with regards to a scheduled interview date. Please do you guys think something is wrong and how long does it take for the embassy to reply once email?

Is their anybody on this platform that got masters admission for Summer semester 2019? If yes, Have you being granted student visa by the German embassy.

Finally, on my admission letter, The university wrote a clause which state that,

"You have to register at the International enter of Kiel University on the 5th, 11th, 18th, 25th, or 26th March 2019 between 9 am - 11 am. Please note that after 26th March 2019 enrollment will no longer be possible. If you have not enrolled until the end of period, the present admission will be declared null and void".

Based on this clause, do you think the embassy might see a challenge with it?

@ the first bolded part, most people that got summer admission have had their interviews, some have received AM, few have travelled.

@ second bolded part, even if you use the online booking and get a date, the VO might not interview you because your enrolment deadline is very close. I'll suggest that you mail your school to either
1. Extend the enrolment deadline. Or
2 defer your admission to winter semester.

But to be safer, see if they can defer it for you. Extending the enrolment might still not guarantee..cos you'll have to wait for AM between 4-6 weeks.

Lol.. why are people this bitter. You think everyone that comes here for help knew about this thread before? Why jump into conclusion? That’s disgusting and your reply was terrible I must confess. I applied to the school and did everything myself, infact I was told about a Whatsapp group only after my interview after meeting some people at the embassy, which I have been very informative. Not until when I had this issue did someone tell me there was an informative thread. Guy calm down abeg. Btw i’m A lady

Like I earlier said, I made it clear am not going to sound fine cos your comments were self motivated, and very annoying cos you just want what you can get out of a system. So now you have known this thread and you have seen for yourself how things are being done here, all we now ask for is your contributions.

You can't tell me you didn't see tonnes of questions asked here each day. Since you actually did everything yourself as you earlier said, I want to believe you understand some things for you to get to the stage where you are now. So kindly bring in your contributions cos we need them here.

I want to believe we are not asking for too much sister. Just as you want someone to contribute to your issues, someone else is waiting for you to contribute to his or hers as well from what you've learnt. It's absolutely evil for you to benefit from something without giving back in return. You have been on nairaland for almost two years now, so you are not new.

We await you. One love sis

I just observed that you've not updated our AM list grin grin
I con wonder where you enter.

It went well. I'm interested in doing that but people here aren't helping. I can't really take note of the whole testifiers, if they had tagged me like I suggested, it would have been easier. Some don't add the name of their school and program, so I am expected to always question them about it and is not easy for me
My plan was to help people coming after to always reference part 6 to have contact for the school and program d want.
Anyway, I haven't given up, I know is just about 3 people that I have not added.

Chriswazo welcome back, your plans and ideas are noble and golden. Thinking about making things easier for the next batch of applicants.

The problem we have here and I will keep saying it is that some people here are so self centered. All they think of is just themselves alone, having this mentality of once I don cross that bridge am now ok, if the bridge like make him fall that one no concern me again.

While some are not willing to read to at least learn, of which if they do it becomes their own benefit, but they see you as being unreasonable if you tell them to read, citing work challenges as excuse as if some of us don't also work too.

Some are not willing to put in a little effort to do some research about something that concerns their future. It's so sad. And with what am seeing happening here of present, I hope tomorrow will not be bleak for future applicants.

May God help us all.

I got a mail from DAAD Scholarship committee that I should submit an admission letter of a German University for winter 2019/20. Please, who knows much about this DAAD scholarship? Does that mean that I have been considered for the scholarship and does anyone knows any German University that issues admission letter within the shortest possible time?

That geo related experience is what I don't have apart from 6 month industrial training which I did at a bore hole drilling company

I don't think it really matters. Scholarship applications are judged based on the overall score not just on your work experience. I think you should apply for it once the application opens.
