Your return date is very very tight but if you gave birth in Ontario, please see below: 1. Apply for baby's birth cert immediately via the Ontario 5 in 1 birth registration. Choose certificates 1 and 2 where you see the type of certificates. Apply for the SiN too. When done, Google the fax no of the office of the registration and write to them requesting that the BC be processed urgently. Attach your ticket as evidence. 2. Once you get the BCs (you will receive the short form cert first in the mail and the long form next or few days later) race to the nearest passport office and request an expedited passport. If they can process the next day delivery one, the better for you. Go with your ticket as proof of urgency. Have your husband on standby to go to the nearest Canadian embassy in Nigeria to sign if he isn't with you. I think for infant passport You have to pick it up at passport office when ready. Also book baby's ticket to Naija. 3. Once Passport is available process naija Visa on arrival. PDF the following documents; baby's datapage, ticket and BC, both parents data page. Attach with an application letter requesting for the Visa on arrival and highlight your travel date and send to the email mentioned Enter Twitter and tweet at the Nigeria immigration for more pressure. They say they usually respond 48hours to travel date with the approval letter. There are two letters. Make sure you print them. PS I didnt pay online for the Visa and on getting to Nigeria they were like why didnt I pay online and story story. I begged sha before they sorted me out. The major headache is the BC. Once you have that you will be okay. Shilohzmum: |

This group has gone cold because our 'sabi' mamas here have refused to help. Once you drop a question instead of correcting/advising with love, it's either no one responds or the person is being told to refer to past posts. Infact some people have turned themselves to police..all they do is shred people for responding/contributing. Truth is for some people no matter how much they read they feel more assured when an immediate/updated response it given. The effect of this is when they have good news(birth experience and visa application), they would also not share on the page. Our USA counterparts(even though they are no longer giving visas..lol) is thriving is because no matter how many times a question is asked, sabi mamas always help. |
