Freelancing business is great for getting started but you're still exchanging your time for money cuz if you don't work you don't earn - so it's not a very scalable business model. But it's great for building up your savings for a much better business model

To get to $1000/month, then you need ATLEAST 10 books pulling in $100/month each on average (I'm assuming you won't be running ads to your book). To do this, you need to be in the right niche with lots of demand and not too much competition. Nothing too seasonal aswell otherwise your income will fluctuate like a yoyo.

The capital for each book will be atleast $100. I'm basing this estimation on a high quality 10,000 words book.

Total capital for 10 books will be atleast $1000 (this is excluding cover design, book formating etc - just the writing of the book itself)

You also need to be re-investing profits back into your business. Without this, forget it you can't scale

Any laptop will do as long as you have access to internet so you can log in and see how your book is performing.

Nobody is broke...just hustle and get the money. Everyone has a talent they can offer in exchange for money. Once you have enough money you can then start your online business.

Each book you have on Amazon is like a rental property making you money consistently - while you sleep, watch game of thrones or husbands of lagos lol. Nothing beats that!

Sorry bro..wish I could but the numbers don't make sense for me. With one-on-one coaching, I'm spending a lot of my time and energy showing you the rope, passing on my knowledge and, most importantly, publishing WITH YOU as opposed to saying a few things and then leaving you to your devices. Be careful when you make book orders from upwork/fiverr.com or indeed anywhere. When it sounds too good to be true it probably is. How can you possibly expect a one-day turnover for a 25,000-word book? beats me.

Hopefully, he'll get his money back.

When hiring writers be on the lookout

1. Do they have a history of doing a similar job for other people?
2. How long have they been active (check their profile history)
3. How high are they rated (check reviews)
4. Are the reviews recent? etc.
5. Do they have samples?
6. Ask specific questions in the job post. From the response you get, you'll be able to pick out the ones with a keen eye for detail (hint: most times, scammers are always in a hurry to get your money they skip answering questions you posed in the job post)

3. I estimate it'll cost atleast $300 to ensure you're well positioned to earn income from audiobooks from Nigeria. After that, cost of writing a high quality 10,000 words book is atleast $120...formating/book cover design might cost another $30...you can hire a narrator and pay them to narrate your book or you can enter a royalty share deal with a narrator where you pay nothing but you share your royalty with them for 7 years on that audiobook (so cost of audiobook production can be $0)

ACX sets the price based on the length of the audiobook. You only control the price of ebooks/paperbacks
