Icon4s and Forgiveness should apologise for what they said about Onuachu when I first brought him to our notice.

I told u guys I never liked the idea of Simmy Nwankwo, that Onuachu was a better option buh u guys and others said I was always opposing every move by Rohr and that Onuachu plays in a back water league. Icon4s in particular was more critical about Onuachu. Yea, it is still early days, buh my boy has shown that talent no dey hide.

I saw Forgiveness shouting "this Onuachu na baller ooo" and I was like grin

You need to state when that discussion on Onuachu took place. It couldn't have been this year or last Year. Onuachu has been a subject of discussions here since Siasia invited him for trials with the Olympics team in 2014 of which he was not impressive and was dropped. I am never one of those that classify leagues as back-water leagues. Go check my posts.

Almost everyone acknowledged his improvement this season even being the highest scoring Nigerian player. So it is a no brainer for Rohr to invite him and a lot was also expected of him and he delivered.

So I don't know the point you are trying to make here. undecided

Search For Top Striker – Rohr Beams Searchlight On Midtjylland Paul”Nigerian Crouch” Onachu

A source close to the coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr has once again confirmed Paul Onuachu of FC Midtjylland is firmly in the plans of the coach as the search for a classic number nine continues.
Rohr is searching for a top striker after Manchester City Kelechi Iheanacho failed to justify his spot as the top striker in their last game against South Africa which the Eagles lost 0-2.
Although Tiajin Teda Brown Ideye is still the favourite to clinch the role, Rohr has sounded out his assistants to keep a close watch on Onuachu who took the Danish League by storm last season with 24 goals to his name.
23 year old Onuachu stands at an impressive height of over six feet and his physical presence alone is part of what Rohr believes his team presently lacks in attack bar Ideye who is in his 30’s.
However with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) yet to secure any friendly game ahead of their next competitive game in September, the chances of the forward having a chance will only be enhanced if he maintains his form when the Danish League resumes.

^^^ so what did I say here now that will warrant me to make any apology? That post came in 2017. What was Paul Onuachu's game level at that time? How was his rating compared to Ighalo, Iheanacho, Success and co as at then?

I don't think anybody here raised eyebrows when Paul Onuachu made Rohr's list in this 2019 as it was glaring he deserved the call up. So I don't know which Glory you are trying to claim here.

Go deeper to do what? Paul Onuachu was never a SE material until this 2018/2019 season (this was not even much of a debate because it was so obvious). The post u went to dig up was in 2017 when Paul was really lagging behind in the pecking order of Nigerian strikers.I don't even remember going into any debate about Paul Onuachu with you or anybody. So I don't know what you are going deeper into.
The National team is not for every D!ck and Harry, it is only for proven players. Paul Onuachu has proven this season he is ready to compete for a place in the SE. He was invited and nobody questioned his invitation. So what game are you playing here? undecided

No mind am. Because we don beat Egypt now our mouth don begin sharp. These are the same people that will berate Rohr for not taking Mikel to the AFCON if things don't work out for us. undecided

Oga, I will not blame rohr for not taking Mikel because I have never really been a huge fan if the guy. I feel his creativity is overrated.... Yes i said so.

I'm not saying it because we beat Egypt...remember during the WC friendlies were people blamed Mikel absence for costing us. During the WC proper, Mikel featured and there was no difference. There still was no creativity in the midfield. We lost 2 games because of this despite his presence. So yes, I say again that Mikel is one man who is past his prime and his addition may make no difference until he proves otherwise in a competitive match.

Thanks egbon

haven't you seen his play recently in the championship?
didn't you see his magic wind during the World cup qualifier against super Africa oppositions... Cameroon and Co. .
which major Africa opposition are you asking of again?
with Mikel and iwobi in the midfield there will be so much creativity for the 3 forward line to explore.

then Ndidi/Ajayi can hold the pivot 4 position...
iwobi as AM
Mikel as CM.

with this we will always score not less than 2 goals in any match in afcon...

Rohr is always proving me right that he ain't worthy of this position he is occupying now,how could a rational thinking coach sub out his tallest player when he was defending a corner kick ,in this 21st century?

I tell you.... you don't pity oppositions.
I am so happy with the robust relationship that exist between the under 23 backroom staffs and the Super Eagles coaches....

we need to explore this players age for the Super Eagles and the under 23 team...

Rohr and Imama should create a pool of 40-48 players to always draw from including foreign born kids that wanna play for us like maja, eze, Okafor etc and can as well make deletions and additions to the list...

Asaba to host Super Eagles in June

By Calista Jacob-Akpan - March 27, 2019

Delta Sports Commission boss Tonobok Okowa has confirmed that the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba will host another game of the Super Eagles in June during the next FIFA free window for international friendly games.

He didn’t mention the name of the opposition but he said that the Delta State Government has acquired the hosting rights of the game.

In an interactive session with journalists in Asaba yesterday Okowa answered various questions bothering on the facilities at the Stephen Keshi Stadium and the readiness of the state to host Eagles future matches.
He said the lapses noticed at the stadium was because the stadium has not been handed over to the Delta State Government by the contractor and that by the time the Eagles will play another friendly game in June all the discrepancies must have been corrected

“We are happy to announce that we have for the hosting rights to host the Eagles’ forthcoming friendly game in June. I was told the negotiations on the friendly are still being finalised,” Okowa told journalists.

“We know that the stadium has not been fully completed but it has not been handed over to Delta State because the contractor is yet to finish up. Issues relating to scoreboard, convenience and other electrical issues will be resolved before the game in June.”
Okowa also confirmed that the Delta State Government has acquired the ownership of Kada City after completing all formalities regarding the handover of the topflight side.

Bro, agreed but what happened in the run-up to the WC and the WC proper? Why couldn't we simply pass the ball around and create enough chances even with Mikel on the field? Did the magic simply vanish? Why couldn't the players congenial locker room translate to cohesion on the field of play? What simply happened? Why were we disgraced despite the hype, the unprecedented support?

After watching Emma Amunike's Tanzanian team exhibit the traditional Nigerian gengen pressing style of play, i felt like it was Sir Westerhof all over again. In far away east africa, Emma is invoking the SE spirit of the 90s to early 2000s. I really wanna face Tanzania in Egypt.
