Still raising walls in this building, we will start the carpentry works for the columns and lintel beams today........

Many building materials has been rising in cost in the last few weeks, I keep stocking more materials in other not to be caught unawares

There's rumour about a possible 30% hike in cement prices this week, while it might not happen, iron rods has added up to 10% since last month.

Thanks! I heard UNICEM is the best quality cement in the market now.

It's good, but I prefer the Elephant Supaset, also made by Lafarge. It sets so fast and very effective.

More carpentry work started here this morning. More pictures later today.

Pls Oga Spyder880, I want to know how many 6 inches solid blocks to mold for foundation to dpc level for a four bedroom bungalow. Also how much should I budget for this stage of the building. Thanks.

Costs and estimates may vary widely between two different locations and building plans that it may be pointless throwing figures around especially for a site I have not seen. Foundation height, depth and other environmental factors can raise an estimate of a 4 bedroom bungalow from N2m to 5m or anything in between. Depending on soil test, foundation type and size of the building is what will determine the likely cost of a foundation. Welcome.
