Thank you for your response. I have not been notified about being admitted yet talk less of getting an assistantship or scholarship. They said they need the financial statement to review my application. The puzzle there is that if I submit a financial document from Nigeria, won't it affect my chances of getting funded?

If that's one of their requirement, then submit it. It doesn't affect your chances of getting funded

Pls house, my uncle who is a green card holder in US files document for his wife who is here in Nigeriaso as to join in him there. How long does it take before everything works out. The whole process is taking forever..Is. there anything that can be done to fast-track the whole process.

If your plans is to visit and return back after some time let's say few weeks, then apply for B1/B2 visa.

Don’t be offended bro and thanks a lot for responding braa.. I read up about b2 visa online and I saw it’s validty is 6months and it can be used to work in the USA •

Like I said before, A friend is inviting me (invitation letter) and I have a little less than 900k currently.
What are my chances

Thank God I just stumbled on this topic. Gurus in the house your advices are needed please.

I intend to get a 2nd degree in the states. I have a 1st degree (B.Ed in computer science) here in Nigeria in 2017, but I didn’t have passion for what I studied, never wanted to become a teacher but UTME wahala. Now I want to change career path, get a 2nd degree in Pharmacy. I know it is totally different from what I studied before. I plan to apply as an int’l transfer student.

Please do you think it is possible to study something different from what I studied before & what are my chances of getting the visa?

Are there scholarships/funding for undergraduate programs?

Is it compulsory to take the standardized tests?

PS: my transcript & waec documents are under evaluation with WES

Hello everyone
I came across this site few months ago after my Visa got delayed.
I would like the guru's here to please look at my profile and tell if it's a good decision to re-apply again.

I'm a medical laboratory technician applying for F1 Visa (undergraduate). My current certificate is ND . I was 27 when I went for my 1st interview in Jan.
Below is my delayed transcript. Jan 4 2019.
V.o- pass me your 1-20
Me- Good morning ma'am and I passed my 120.
V.o- what's your highest qualification
Me- National diploma.
V.o- whr are you going
Me - university of indiana, Indianapolis. I'm going for my bachelor degree and In chemistry and I will be concentrating on biochemistry.
V.o -how many admit
Me- i didn't hear her well and I responded with uhnn ,she repeated her self and I answered her "2"
V.O- name them
Me- I mentioned university of Indiana and the VO cut me by saying "i know that ,you will have their 1-20 what other school admit you. And I replied her ,Copping state university.
V.O-how did you know about the school
Me- my technical manager told me about the school and I went on their website to know more about them
V.O- why do you wanna go back to school now
Me- i have been working in the lab for the past four yrs under the supervision of scientists and I think it's time to upgrade my knowledge and certificate so I would not need to work under anyone supervision.
V.o -how old are you
Me-27
V.O - are you married
Me- no,I want to work on my career first before marriage
V.O- do you have a kid
Me- No
V.o -who is your sponsor
My-my mom
Vo- what does she do
Me - she's a radiologist and works at *********
Then she handed me the blue paper and says it will explain to me..

Pls I implore you all to please look at my profile and give your views about my profile if I should apply again or not as people around me are saying my chances are very slim due to my age .
I will be 28 imtgis month.

You are not allowed to work on a B2 visa. Don't tell the V.O that you want to go there and work. Also i can't say your chances, depends on how your interview goes.

For the CMU, I have GA that qualifies me for 50% tuition waive with monthly stepends. The GA is Worth 11,560$. Initially it was not reflecting on my i20 but now I have it on it

Just go with the flow and do not be verbose. I feel your reason for choosing your school you stated earlier is quite too long. Just talk about the peculiarity of the program and if you intend doing a PhD afterwards, talk about how successful their program is for PhD placement. If it isn't the conventional 2 years Masters, talk about the duration and how it helps you get back to your work place etc.
