Ok I'll check the pump....thanks
Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by gonkin(m): 5:32pm On Mar 27, 2019
OK I have been doing some analysis on my tyres for some time and I've come to notice thread separation at the rear. And it start when I lift 9 people.
I drive a 1992 landcruiser with 3rd row seats and when ever I put 2 to 3 people on that seat I notice tyre difference.

So I just lost another tyre. Same pattern same reason.

The front tyres are prehistoric but still perform well but the rear that's fresher dies withing 3 to 4 months.

So I purchased 1 tyre in January and I noticed when I was driving. It was so hard like overinflated but I checked the pressure of that particular tyre. It was fine. The I read about balancing blocks. So I noticed 2 balancers and removed them from the rim. It's been driving fine I even check to see if any separation wod occur it's still my sexiest tyre.
Now the other rear tyre has been showing that tread separated bump. Been managing it since but yesterday I noticed leakage. Decided to ask why I experience that particular problem. Especially since I purchased the tyre November and it started having issues by December. I now checked my old tyres I replaced. I was surprised the location of the balancing block is where the separation is located. I took pictures and marked them. Could this have been the problem all these time. My thread doesn't wear and my allingnment is OK. Plus the tyre I purchased January is still fresh as ever. My shocks are fine.

Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by gonkin(m): 5:33pm On Mar 27, 2019
The previous tyre and marking of the balancer. Same place where the thread separation occured

Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by gonkin(m): 5:34pm On Mar 27, 2019
All rear tyres have the same thread issues and their location is by the balancing

Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by gonkin(m): 5:35pm On Mar 27, 2019
The current tyre

Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by gonkin(m): 5:36pm On Mar 27, 2019
The date of manufacture
No sign of dry rot

Re: ASK GAZZUZZ by GAZZUZZ(m): 5:48pm On Mar 27, 2019
.gonkin please explain the thread separation part. Does the tyre rip or tear or change shape?

Change shape. Like a bump on the head. The one that ripped was expired. The other 2 just had bumps.

Although the tyre without a balancing block is fine

what is the maximum tyre pressure rating for the tyres that got bad? And what about of air pressure do you put in your tyres?

The balance weight has nothing to do with it.

I think rating is 50 and I have never exceeded 41.
Can overload affect it. Cuz it happens when ever I have like 3 heavy people at the 3rd row seat. Other than that it's been fine

Also note the pictures I drew a line. The balancing block is right at the spot where the bump is on both tyres. Couldn't be a coincidence

your vehicle is a 1992 landcruiser , it's a very heavy vehicle, what is the load rating of the tyres you buy?

Please stick with reinforced tyres for that size of SUV.

good morning boss.
Got an issue with my RX330. the wheels wobble at high speed,by this i mean i get a lot of feedback on the steering approaching 40 to 60 and 100- 120 .
the actual speed it occurs changes each time i do wheel balancing. The wheel balancing has been done at several shops including Bomaco on Oba Akran and one other spot in Magodo. This wobbling also occurs if i am free sailing at that speed with my foot off the accelerator.it also occurs while braking at those speeds. so suspecting something else other than balancing as the wheels have also been rotated.

i also notice some vibration from the cars under carriage when i put the car in gear without moving. this vibration isn't consistent and never occurs when the car is in motion or in neutral.

please help

Just a suggestion.
Could be four things:

1. Rim out of shape.
2. Tyre out of shape.
3. Bad suspension.
4. Bad tie rods.

I also learnt brake calipher (if it's not properly returning) could cause it.

To do:

1. Change the rods - cheap to do.
2. Buy two iron rims for front wheels - cheap to do.
3. Buy two front tyres - cheap to do.
4. Put the best two rims of your current rims to the back.
5. Put the best two tyres of your current tyres to the back.

Hopefully, this resolves it.

Am seriously considering buying a Toyota venza or high lander (2009 to 2012 models) but don't know whether to go for a V6 or 4 cylinders; is there a major repair and maintenance issue with V6 engines? What are the merits/demerits of each of the engines types?

Thanks

For large vehicles as such, the V6/V8 engines are preferred.

Chairman Gazzuzz, your advise please. I want to get a Corolla 2004/05 model and two options here; Bank type and regular. Which one would you recommend for purchase. My concerns are; durability and low fuel consumption. Thanks.

bank type means you are either importing from Europe or Japan or buying a Nigerian used.

In any case buy a good car that has not suffered abuse.
