Chibuking sorry I'm asking plenty questions oooo, I know say gold360 no go answer me these ones.

Don't you think that with this new minimum wage, that tax, dues and contributions will also increase. Also changes will affect that of transport, accommodation, utility and others.

when is RVSG effecting it?
Re: Rivers State Teachers Recruitment 2012 by Chibuking81(m): 7:42am On Mar 22, 2019
@ NonnieMarthins
Increase in tax and dues, with contributions are must, that's why I included new deductions will give you new Net pay
The moment Mr president assent to it, it becomes binding to all state of federation, ie including both Federal and state government. And Mr president has no further argument to sign it, since he is ready to pay #30,000 to Federal workers, as for RVSG It's already captured in their 2019 budget, which I think will kick off immediately Mr president assent to the bill

I think you guys are missing the point, what is the use of the increment of salary as a result of new minimum wage when the government will increase our taxes and VAT? The real value of our income won't appreciate significantly.

In another development, why is it that FAAC meetings are being delayed in recent months?

Accountant-General of the Federation, Mr Ahmed Idris

The Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF), Mr Ahmed Idris, on Wednesday said the Federal Government shared N619.85 billion, as revenue generated in February to the three tiers of government.

The amount showed an increase of about N9.49 billion from what was shared in January.

Idris, represented by the Director of Funds, Office of the AGF, Mr Mohammed Usman, said this at a news conference at the end of the monthly Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting in Abuja.

Giving a breakdown of the revenue accrued in February, Idris said that the mineral revenue increased by N23.57 billion, moving from N326.52 billion in January to N350.09 billion in February.

However, the non-mineral revenue decreased by N46.27 billion, from N170 billion in January to N124.32 billion in February.

He said that in February, the federation crude oil sales increased by 46 per cent, resulting in increased federation revenue from 425 million dollars in January to 574 million dollars in February.

“Shut in and shut down persisted while some terminals remained closed due to leaks and maintenance.

“Petroleum Profit Tax increased significantly while Companies Income Tax recorded a marginal increase.

“Revenues from value added tax, oil royalty import and excise duties decreased in February, 2019,” he said.

In summary, Idris said that the Federal Government received N223.15 billion, states got N113.18 billion and local governments received N87.26 billion.

In addition, N45.09 billion, representing 13 per cent of the mineral revenue was shared to oil producing states.

Idris assured civil servants that despite the delay in holding the FAAC meetings, their salaries would be paid before end of the month.

The Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) on Wednesday disclosed that the three arms of government shared N619.857 as March revenue from funds generated in February.
Speaking at the event, the Account-General of the Federation, Mr Idris Ahmed, who was represented by the Director of Funds, Mohammed Usman disclosed that the gross statutory revenue received was N478.434 billion.
The sum is lower than the N505.246 billion received in the previous month by N26.812 billion.
He added that federation crude oil export sales increased by about 46% resulting in increased federation revenue from $425.00 million previously to $574.95 million.
“Shut-in and Shut-down persisted while some terminals remained closed due to leaks and maintenance.
“Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT) increased significantly while Companies Income Tax (CIT) recorded a marginal increase.
Revenues from Value Added Tax (VAT), oil royalty, import and excise duties decreased in February, 2019.
“The distributable statutory revenue for the month is N478.434 billion.
“The total revenue distributable for the current month (including VAT, exchange gain, excess bank charges recovered and forex equalisation) is N619.857 billion.
“Therefore, from the Total distributable revenue for the Month, the Federal government received N257.681 billion representing 52.68%; States received N169.925 billion representing 26.72%; Local government councils received N127.722 billion representing 20.60%; while the oil producing states received N50.946 billion also representing 13% derivation revenue,” he explained.
Usman also revealed that the balance on Excess Crude Account as at 27th March, 2019 stands at $183 million.
On the power loans given to states, Usman said the facility to states was not from ECA.
On whether the newly-approved N30,000 minimum wage may affect FAAC disbursements, he assure that salaries will be paid as and when due.
“We’ve not veered off from normal template. Ups and downs may come but we’ll stabilise,” he added

Why president may not receive NASS report soon ON MARCH 26, 20195:54 AMIN NEWS0 COMMENTS By Henry Umoru ABUJA—

THERE are strong indications that President Muhammadu Buhari may not receive soon, report of the decisions of Senate and House of Representatives on the approved N30,000 as the accepted minimum wage for the Nigerian workers following the prevailing economic realities of the country as against the N27,000 proposed by the Federal Government.

Vanguard gathered, yesterday, that delay in the presentation of the report to the executive by the National Assembly may not be unconnected with the fact that the Senate and the House of Representatives will need to agree on some grey areas. Senate Vanguard further gathered that it had become imperative that both chambers will have a conference to address the issue of difference in the number of clauses.

While the Senate dealt with 18 clauses, the House of Representatives addressed 19 clauses, which explains why there must be a conference. Though both chambers had differently approved N30,000 as the new minimum wage for the workers, the difference in the number of clauses would make them have a conference. Against the backdrop that the Senate and the House of Representatives, last week adjourned plenary till April 2, to enable the lawmakers attend to the budget defence process, the minimum wage report will wait till they resume plenary

The Federal Government on Wednesday, shared N619.85 billion, as revenue generated in February to the three tiers of government.

The Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF), Mr Ahmed Idris, said the amount showed an increase of about N9.49 billion from what was shared for January allocation.

Idris, who was represented by the Director of Funds, Office of the AGF, Mr Mohammed Usman, made this known during a news conference at the end of the monthly Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting in Abuja.

A breakdown of the revenue accrued in February, showed that the mineral revenue increased by N23.57 billion, moving from N326.52 billion in January to N350.09 billion in February.

The non-mineral revenue, however, decreased by N46.27 billion, from N170 billion in January to N124.32 billion in February.

According to him, in February, the federation crude oil sales rose by 46 per cent, resulting in increased federation revenue from 425 million dollars in January to 574 million dollars in February.

Idris said; “Shut in and shut down persisted while some terminals remained closed due to leaks and maintenance.

“Petroleum Profit Tax increased significantly while Companies Income Tax recorded a marginal increase.

“Revenues from value added tax, oil royalty import and excise duties decreased in February, 2019.”

Idris said that the Federal Government received N223.15 billion, states got N113.18 billion and local governments received N87.26 billion for the February allocation.

In addition, N45.09 billion, representing 13 per cent of the mineral revenue was shared to oil producing states.
