In that church, if you cannot stand up to the demands of being a priest, you leave the priesthood. Nothing would happen to you.

I once read about a priest and a nun who left their vocation to get married to each other. They were married by the confessor of the former priest. Many of the ex-nun's fellow nuns were present at the wedding and were said to be very happy.

Obviously, this priest loved his office more than he loved serving God.
