someone please help me understand...

so i booked a flight to manchester from lag via Airitaly to milan and milan to Manchester via Flybe done under one booking

Called flybe to be sure that hubby won't be needing to self transfer himself / luggage between both flights.
been told he will have to pick up his luggage at milan then checkin again at milan to manchester.

my question is: does he need a transit visa for milan? or not

No transit visa required....... Not unless he wants to visit viale Fauche or Papiniano, to buy proper Italian male shoes and belts........ angry grin

Hopefully, flights delays or cancellations would not be experienced in Milan or else he would have the airport facilities for company.......

What you need to be sure of is, his landing airport and connecting airport are the same..............

If it's a different airport, a transit visa would be required......
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by evenda: 8:22pm On Apr 04, 2019
yes its the same airport.

i asked because i called the airlines and both really don't know much but definitely said he needs to pick up his checked in bags and check in again at milan for the next flight

i just didn't think at all he would need a transit visa or even need to pick his checked bags

If it's the same airport and no exit is required, transit visa is not required........

Hello house,
I would like to share my story, perhaps your contributions will go a long way in helping my application.
2012 April; Married a British citizen.
2012 July; Changes was made to Uk spouse Visa by British Government. Thus the minimum income requirement.
2012 December, I applied for spouse Visa despite that my wife wasn't earning 18600. She was earning little above 14000 pounds then.
Feb 2013; Visa application was refused.
August 2013; I applied for a Visiting visa which was refused.
July 2014; Applied for a Visiting Visa, was also refused.
Since then I haven't made any application.
My wife and I had always been seeing either in US, Dubai or sometimes when she comes to Lagos.
Now we have 2 girls aged 6 and 6months old.
Due to her need to look after the children, she couldn't work full time.
Now I am thinking of relocating to them and applying again using the cash savings route by selling my property in Magodo, Lagos. Which can raise well over the needed 62500 pounds savings we need for the application.
I have own the property for well over 2years and I learnt I don't need to keep the proceeds for 6month if I am selling my property to show proof of funds. So far I can show the purchase and sales documentation.
My question is;
When I bought the house, I have all the deeds and letter of purchase from the real estate company, but the C of O document wasn't in my name, because the land was originally bought by someone that did the CofO which subsequently had be sold and resold before I finally bought the property.
To this situation, I need an advice of what type of documents do I need to provide.
Furthermore, can I just put the proceeds into my mutual fund account for 6 months and then withdraw to my savings prior to my application at the end of six months period. This way I can get statement for my mutual fund to show the origin of the funds.
Thank you all.

Read back a few pages, someone used the savings route and visa was approved.............

I so much appreciate this forum, I discovered this group when we were getting ready to submit and was considering a lawyer but then discovered we were not ready so we waited till we got everything sorted. Hubby had to do the right English test and TB test and I had to move house to meet the accommodation requirements

Since those children are British you don't need to show any money for them.

The savings will be £16000

Good day house

Thanks everyone for your selfless service here
I am about to apply for my spouse visa and I have some question classification.
(Though I have read through the thread)

1. Do hubby need to pay for health insurance for me before applying?

2. We got married January this year. Is it too early to apply. Traditional wedding August 2018.

3. Hubby just got a new job which he started 2months ago, though he was working and earning well In his previous job.

Please gurus help me throw more light into this.
Thanks and God bless u all.

Hello House... i'm new to this thread but i have painstakingly read through the pages ..and finally gotten to page 434.. all because i want to get to stay with my wife in London, Uk.. Spousal Visa ..e no easy..

I have to say a short prayer for Lexus, justwise, and many others who have generously helped people with useful information, and also to those who got successful applications and didn't forget to support others.. God will meet all your needs and supplications by His grace..

I want to put in my application 1st/2nd week of May, 2019 once my wife gets her salary for April 2019 (mindful of the 28days rule). Please i have a few questions:

1. My IHS calculation back then for spousal visa was 600 pounds, and recently i just calculated again after filling some detials on uk.gov site and i'm seeing 1,200 pounds.. that seriouss.. please can someone who recently paid confirm how much? I'm the only one applying.. i never born pikin oo..

2. Am i also sending in my original Uni certificate along with my UK Naric certificates i got via Visa and Nationality (i was given 4 letters, i.e. for statement of comparability and english language proficiency)

3. Documents like flight boarding passes.. can i just photocopy the originals? must i add the original boarding passes?

4. I was denied visit visa once.. and still have the letter (i wonder i didnt throw it away).. Am i to add a photocopied version OR i add the original letter? Also, Do i explain the visit visa refusal in the additional info sheet of the Appendix VAF4A that i'm to fill OR i add the story to my (applicant's) cover letter?

Thanks for anticipated responses.

1. The IHS is part of the application, you cannot submit your application without paying the IHS fees

2. No

3. He will need to submit a year's worth of payslips 10 months from former employer and 2 months from present employer and bank statement where his salary/wages were paid. Make sure earnings for the year above financial requirement. Probably letter from former and present employer stating payslips are fenuine

1. Unfortunately your calculation is correct as the fee has gone up.

2. Can send that..they will return it.

3. Just send the original

4. You don't need to add the refusal letter..just select yes and explain why you were refused.
