Kingsman01:Oga please calm down. I'd want you to know that people giving you advice have been here for years and want the best for you. Nobody is saying God does not play his part in helping you but if a school is a red flag, it's a red flag. That's how a guy came some months ago with California Mirama University which was a red flag. He was warned not to go for interview with the school but he was adamant, and in the end, he was denied. Please follow Lagosismyhome advice and apply to another school, before going for your interview. Going for an interview with this school would only sour your chances of getting a visa next time. You have a high chance of being denied. |

Olalekank:Bros try to understand my point. I am not being adamant. I totally accept her input and all others. I have already booked an Interview. If I don’t get it, fine. |

Kingsman01:Well, don't be discouraged since at this point you have scheduled an interview. Just know that you might have to do a lot more to tell a convincing story in light of all the red flags that the good people here have pointed out. If you do get the visa, good luck. If you don't, then at least you now know the right thing to do. |

Bigsamnaira:You want to invite someone to Nigeria or *from* Nigeria? I looked on a post on tripadvisor for you and it looks like you have to do an online application, get a letter of invitation, proof of funds, etc. See the naija immigration portal here:https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/pages/visaguidelines Caveat: verify the process before making any online payment whenever it comes to a naija govt agency. You might pay and still be stuck in limbo. |

As long as you are true to your dream, you can always find a way to pursue and achieve it. Most times, it is not money that is the determining factor, but the tenacity, focus, and stubborn faith in yourself and in God that nothing can stop you. Anyway, how old are you? VisiFisiMisi: |

You are cool. Student visas have been issued to students without any standardize exam. Were you offered scholarship? Work on the interview. That's where the next home work is required. Chidon40: |

Go to Nigerian immigration website. You should see all the information there. As you know say Nigeria is not a normal country, make sure you follow the instructions well. Bigsamnaira: |

jamanuka:ah no one likes a known whistleblower aka *snitch* people tag it disloyalty! He just cost SGB bad PR and that costs a lot of money to either go away or water down! it would be hard for him to get a job due to bad reviews. Sincerely wish him the best and hope he gets his breakthrough. |

Interesting... It speaks to the dangers of a single story - as Chimamanda would say. However, it still stands true that job hunting in the US isn't beans. With that said, I'm finding it hard to see the wrong thing in what he did that'll make recruiters avoid hiring him. Whistleblowing is ethical and many companies even encourage this. What do you think? jamanuka: |

VisiFisiMisi:I dont really support pursuing something without parent's blessing especially for first degree...... Even with full scholarship there are still some expenses. How will that be paid?... application fee, visa, servis , transport, accomodation .. if they dont want to support it maybe they are been sensible of living within their means That been said ... you finish school 2015. Which is 4 years ago . What you been doing since ?. And how was your ssce / secondary school result. Those are factors in scholarship assessment |
