Apply for visiting visa through the U.K. Embassy. Application is made online and all the information you need for visiting visa is in this thread

Thanks bro! But please am sorry to bother you,I just came to this thread yesterday and it has gone a very long way. I don't know if you can list what I need,I mean the documents for the online registration, how to start and go about it... Am a student in one of the recognised institutions here in Nigeria,am a 400level student which I will start my I.T(Industrial Training) in July and my uncle in the UK wants me to come over there for a short time visit(6 months).. Thanks in anticipation for your calm reply!

Not sure I comprehend what you're trying to do here but if I understand you, you want to enter your travel history right? Please enter the most recent. Even if you have 5 US entries, enter the 2 most recent.

Fekeri:
I’m filling the UK visa application form and there is a problem answering the question correctly “ How many times have you visited the following places in the past 10 years”? I have not been able to answer more than two history even when I chose 2 to 5 times. It takes me automatically to another question after entering two. Don’t know is anyone has same issue. I wanted to enter USA 3 times and France once. But it takes only two usa and bring the other options that’s not related to this section. What should I do?

You need to take time and read through the thread to gain more knowledge on this application and not just the requirements. It would do you more good.

its always advisable to reapply before the end of your visa, that way you have good chances.

apply a month before the end of your current visa

Hello nairalanders.
Quick question please... I have a UK visa valid till 28th May and I need to travel to the UK from the 19th May to leave at end of the month (say 31st May)
My question is, can I apply before the expiration of my current visa?
Thanks

Thank you @eduson33. Will do just that.

I'm just wondering though, will the current visa be canceled out or the effective date of the new one will overlap? Just thinking

Thank you @justwise.

So good to still have you here after so many years. Always wonder why you remain so consistent and ever so helpful.

I've been been to the UK four times now since my first refusal way back in 2013. I'm usually silent here but I keep coming here and each time learn from your advice which is always apt and has been invaluable to me and I'm sure a host of others too. God bless you

I'm applying for a 2 years visa this time around. My understanding is that I don't have to wait for the current visa to expire before I do.

Thanks

Yes you can

Good day house. An unofficial business partner of mine who is in the UK. Is looking to bring me over to the UK. He is looking to bring me over to work for him as he will be my sponsor. He owns a company over there and I will be working for him . What needs to be done by him over there. And what are the requirements I need , while applying for the Visa. I'm completely new to the process

What field of business?

He needs to get you certificate of employment from the government then you can apply for work visa, though I don't think it's going to be easy..depending of the field of business

Justwise please i need a quick response on my question. I did mine biometric on the 11th of March and I got message from UKVI that my visa application has been dispatched on the 25th of March. I went to TLS office on 4th of April to check if my visa is ready for collection, but on getting there I was told that it wasn't ready that i should wait for their mail.i didn't received any message from them before i went though. It's 11days now and i don't know why it's been delay. Please, what do you think it's going on because my departure date is less than two weeks now.

You are not the only one having this sort of issue, you have to call or email the embassy for an update

Have you checked your junk mail ? Contact them if you haven't seen any and also printout your application form to take long on Monday. If the security refused to let you in you show them evidence of application
