Bro my passport isn't expired just yet. It'll expire in November that's why I'm asking if I can still use it

Opinionator:

Your expired passport is invalid and such can't be used for admission and visa application. Try and renew it if you still want to make the Winter semester.

You don't need to notarize the application form. Just include it to the others and send.

Paulinus still asks for it..

I'll advise us to hold it when going. At least to clear Paulinus. If you enter and the VO says it's not needed, then you can remove it.
Understood. Thanks so much brother

2. I dont have my WAEC certificate but i have my statement of result and scratch card, i hope it wont be a problem.
3. Am going for another BSC, i read somwhere here that they ask some pple maths/physics questions, please how true is this.

You cant use the one from the hospital, if you were born after 1993, get from npc, if you were before 1993 get an age declaration..... Second question you can go to your secondary school and collect your waec or neco certificate ..... Some in the past have used statement of result but you will need a good reason of not having yours...

In your original question, you implied it has already expired.

Now, you can use it to make your applications for admission, but you cannot use it to travel (Visa). For any embassy to issue you a visa, your passport must have a minimum of six months validity. By the time you are ready to apply for vis you would have less than 4 months so it won't fly.

Kindly start applying for a fresh passport while you have time.

Cheers

@AbahJosiah Thanks so much i will try at the time you mentioned ...i will appreciate so you can send me what to send again to be sure am doing the write thing and the email to send to pls

using the booking system is simple and straight forward. You don't need to send any document, you just need choose the month that is available, next you choose the day that is available, and the time available. Put in your passport number (valid) and email address ( valid). That's all. You may not see success or congratulations after you submit. Wait a minute or two, check your mail, or refresh as the case maybe, you should receive a mail in German or maybe in English ( I recieved mine in German) stating you have booked an appointment on day.month.Year by time in lagos... blah blah blah. Print the mail, take it along with you together with other documents on your checklist, that is the first document the security and Mr paulinus will ask for. (you need just a copy).

If you book with your old passport before you renew (Don't cancel). Make sure you come with both the old passport and the new passport. You will be admitted into the consulate using the old passport and you can apply for visa using the new passport. It will not affect anything (this was my case and I asked the VO to make sure).

Booking by sending documents like block account confirmation, admission letter etc is done only when using the mail student@lago.diplo.de to book appointment.

Well done, everyone!

Please, as regards the checklist, what happens if one doesn't have a primary school leaving certificate, shey testimonial go suffice?
And the extra copies to be taken along, must they be certified, or is the certification of documents meant for school applications alone?

Thanks.

I never graduated or finished primary school.

I would love to go for another bachelor's degree.
Am 23 years old.
In my 100 level, I had a carry over.
How should I go about it please. What are my chances?
Would I be able to work while schooling?
Would it be better to go for masters intead?
Would I be able to work while doing masters (if I do) and would I be able to do so with English or I must have to be able to speak German?
What kind of jobs can I get?

I'm sorry the questions are much it's cos I'm very confused.
Thanks for your response in advance

I think there is only one Goethe Institut in Nigeria which is in Lagos Island. When you get to Obalende, take Bike or Keke to City Hall. You'd find Goethe Institut at the top floor

Address is Catholic mission street, Lagos Island, Lagos

quote author=delivite post=76069024]For those waiting for testimony, your own will surely come. Mine is already here.

I started my research in part 5, applied for admission in part 5, funded my BA and got my AM all in part 5 of this thread. In a few days from now, I will be leaving for Germany.

The journey has not been easy. I remember when I was racking my head looking for schools that would offer me admission because my CGPA is really low(2.46 Nigerian scale, 2.9 German scale). I asked lots of questions and did lots of research. Someone even asked me to pay #250k to get me admission instead of telling me the schools to apply to. Thank God for guys like ObinnaAlex and others who selflessly directed me.

When I hear people who got 3.5+ CGPA come on here to ask questions like whether you can get admission, I just laugh. If I had that GPA eh...chaii...Do your due diligence, do your research.

Most people never believed I would get admission for MSc program in Germany. Even I did not believe it, but like play like play, I got 2 admission offers. One in Anhalt University and one in Berlin.

If you are applying for winter admission session, it’s very important that you do your research. Many people don't read. Nobody will hold your hand if you are not willing to put in the effort; everybody is busy with their own life and process. I said I started my journey in part 5 of this thread but I started reading everything from part 3. Yes, I read part 3, part 4 and was finally up to date in part 5.

It does not make much sense to repeat mistakes that other people have made and documented all because you can’t be bothered to read. Yes, it’s important to ask questions, but read first. There is time. Read and read and read.

Get all your documents ready from day 1. Many people don't worry about letter of English proficiency until it's getting late. if you can afford IELTS, write it. If you can't, go to your school and get the letter before you start your application. Make sure your passport is ready, etc.

That is the much I can say for now. I hope I get to contribute more often in this thread so I can help others too; I was not very active in part 5. I admire the amazing job that people like Eldee, heybaby12, dailydollar, etc are doing here to raise others.

For those of you in DE, I hope to see you soon.

Let us all succeed.

Please if you have any questions for me, ask them here. I don't always get to my PM on time.
Thanks for this delivite, and congratulations to you!
Please house, hope it's not too late to start seeking for msc admission, winter semester? I greet you all!
