5000 CHURCHES IN 2019: Oyedepo’s Winners’ Chapel plants 848 Churches in one day.

Bishop Oyedepo led Living Faith Church (LFC) aka Winners’ Chapel last Sunday 7th April 2019 established 848 new rural churches. This is as part of the plans of the Church to establish 5000 churches in 2019. The total attendance recorded last Sunday was 13,000 while more churches will be established today Sunday 14th 2019.
The Church had earlier announced her plan to establish 5000 rural churches while she had acquired landed property worth over N350million ($1 million) for that purpose.

Winners’ Chapel has experienced Church growth consistently over the last 30 years however since 2009 when she embarked on aggressive Church plants, she had grown from 700 churches to 5,600 (excluding Lagos) in 2013. While the Redeemed Christian Church of God plants churches every 5 minutes walk in the developing world and 3 minutes drive distance in the developed world, in 2012 the Mandate which is the operational manual or constitution of the LFC included a clause that a branch of the LFC will be established every 2 kilometers worldwide. Delta State of Nigeria alone recorded 505 churches as at 2015.

The Church which runs the best private university in Africa also intends to establish a total of at least 7 universities, 140 secondary schools and 1,500 nursery and primary schools by 2031 as part of her goal to help develop the developing world.

Awesome stuff... Put someone like David Oyedepo as president and you may hear news like 800 hospitals in one day or 800 factories in one day or 800 schools in one day... Some individuals are extremely visionary in drive. However it becomes a disaster when all of a society's visionaries are located in the corporate sector or in churches, while the public sector is left for miscreants and societal misfits.

At this point if Oyedepo needs more money he would buy an Oil well or create an Airline, not buying a a plot of land in Ibarapa, Oyo state where people earn $2 a day or establish a church in Kogi that would be writing the church in six months for a replacement of their generator that was destroyed by torrential rainfall. Mind you, If Oyedepo established any business he has millions of loyal customers willing to buy...

We know how hinterlands ministries are - they are our babies and we would nurture them till they grow. The reason why we create them is to preach Jesus and His Ordinance, expand Christianedom in numbers and influence and certainly not to steal their income.


Now the living faith church is rich enough that it could have purchased a distressed Diamond bank if it wanted to. The 500 Million naira the Living Faith granted widows some time ago can consume the tithe and offerings of these 1000 churches sited in the hinterlands in the next five years. To say Oyedepo who has refused to establish churches in Lagos would site 1000 churches in rural areas for the sake of profit is an insult on your intelligence.

Oyedepo is a great manager. Let's give him some accolades
