Don't lie about going for holiday when really you want to go and settle down there.

If you want to live and work in the USA....get a job there, and then get the appropriate visa.

This has been happening in recent days. A client of mine got called but was later giving. She was called not to fly at Airport too...she was asked why she dint travel more than once in her B1/B2 visa.

There are also something's Canadians or English people just can't do that Nigerians are known for. Just find out what went wrong. If the United States should treat Nigerians half the way our embassy treats their citizens that wants to come here you would not near their embassy again.

If the information provided during the interview differs from the flight information booked by your brother, then that might have been the issue. There has been a trend of Nigerians on US tourist Visa booking flights to certain parts of the US close to the Canadian border going to cross as refugees. So immediately they see the flight details booked, they can infer the possible intent, especially if it is not anywhere close to address of their host(say your host is in Texas but you booked flight to New York). Also while they were boarding, the load you would carry if you are going for 2 weeks would be different from the kinda of load you would have if you want to relocate. A lot of things can easily give away your intentions. But this aside you would would have to go to the embassy to find out. Really sad the kids had to face such a painful experience.

Village people, personally I know I have plenty of enemies, so I tend to keep personal affairs PERSONAL!!!. Which is something Majority of people can't do as they feel compelled to show off on social media or to colleagues & friends.


Even if I wan go toilet, I just say I will be right back, no unnecessary details!!

They cannot cos the Embassy are not the operators of the Airline, rather they should have been returned at point of entry which I guessed would be more humiliating.

Nigerians are being humiliated anyhow, how can you grant someone visa and stop the person from flying "last minute", imagine all the stress they have gone through planning and all and you decide to treat them like "international terrorists" last minute, this is absolutely wrong! They should demand for a full refund of "visa fees" and sue for damages then tell them to go eat their stupid country......

They may have even sold their car, resigned from their places of work and parked out from their "rented" apartment before embarking on this trip.

Their visas were probably already canceled prior to today but the Airline didn't catch this until after the passengers were seated. The embassy excuse was just a face saving excuse. Many many people are having the US visas canceled after they have been approved and issued the visas.
I can imagine the disappointment for the whole family. Life goes on.

Just imagine the "trauma" after telling everyone you are travelling, they didn't even allow them leave airport tarmac, after waiting hours for the flight and going through the stress of check in.....

My brother and his family were sent down from the plane without any reason. A flight attendant approached them and said she received a directive from the US embassy that they shouldn't be allowed to travel. The lady didn't state any reason for this action. This happened 12pm today What can they do? The kids have been crying since.
